silver star
If rain continues there could be problems....the old Blairmount would have been in jeopardy with the old pitch for Saturday with an eye on the weekend weather........
WhyCantIChooseWigtown
I think if it had been a Saturday match things may have been looked at differently....but to give the 3 South teams involved in the Scottish Cup as good a chance as possible....the Secretary and Executive Committee decided to postpone the two matches until later in the season.....which in most peoples minds was a wise and sensible move....just as you say that it has not happened before that may or may not be true...but many changes are taking place in football at the moment and this just looks like another of them................. Definitely wasn't the case with the wigtown v newton game as a letter was sent to wigtown by newton requesting the postponement of the match
NE63 exile
seems like a good decision by the commitees then good luck to all[/quote Especially when you that a number of Lowland League clubs have had their games postponed tonight to allow them time to prepare for their Scottish Cup ties at the weekend. Its only me
Good common sense shown by the league and by the clubs involved in the scottish cup. If it helps teams prepare and stand the best chance possible of getting through then it can only be a good thing for the league. Also good wee write up from CherryKitKat. Vale 1-1 MidsCreetown 1-2 HestonFleet 0-3 LocharNthsdale 1-1 EDU Uppers 1-1 Crichton
debian
Definitely wasn't the case with the wigtown v newton game as a letter was sent to wigtown by newton requesting the postponement of the match Martin Flannigan you really need to give this obsession a rest. If there is such an uproar then why are Wigtown not playing Newton Stewart tonight. Come on, use whatever brain cells you have left. You're a wee minion who gets to post a few pictures, and are left out of the adult conversations.

Blue-Orchid
surely clubs cant just agree to postpone games, never been known before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't see the harm. It only to the two clubs involved own detriment as they end up with a fixture back log. Doesn't really affect any other clubs. It's a small price to pay to help get a good Scottish Cup run going. Not very often such common sense prevails in football so well done to both clubs and the league. Any update on if there will be a game at Creetown tonight. Weather has been poor. CAM
Surely it's not fair on teams like Heston to travel to creetown on a Wednesday night for a 6:30 ko? I know creetown haven't played Saints or N Stewart this year so far... And Heston haven't played all the teams around Dumfries area? Thought midweek games were supposed to be regionalised? GreenhouseGuy
Tough one for the Lochar boys tonight and Crichton. As you're saying a lot of boys will be rushing from work and won't be focused on the task in hand.

maninthemiddle
nithsdale 1 EDU 1 nithsdale could have been up 7 or 8 1 at half time but for the world class saves of EDUs italian keeper. he somehow manage to keep a clean sheet until the last 2 mins much to the delight of a good number of home supporters. no game for nithsdale this weekend
