Richard Foster displaying the attitude that sadly far too many Scottish footballers have by asking why someone wouldn't move to Celtic or Sevco, or would even leave them, to play in England or elsewhere. He said they're 'massive clubs' who win things (what have Sevco ever won of note?) so surely players would want to sign for them and stay with them.

Absolutely pish attitude that restricts professional and personal development. Why play in England, or even abroad? To develop as a player by playing at a much higher standard, against players of a much higher standard, as well as potentially experiencing a new culture. And loads more money as well obviously.

So many players here are comfortable getting to a level and then staying there and not pushing themselves. It's a mixture of complacency and shitebaggery. Always poor to see. Nothing wrong with playing for Celtic and Sevco as a means to moving on to a higher level, but for the Scottish players who could be good enough, that rarely happens. They think they've made it by winning League Cups where they only need to play 4 games to win.

Guys who make the move to try and push on are to be applauded. Hickey is a great example. He was wanted by Celtic by the guy has taken a chance on himself to try playing a higher level. Good on him and a great attitude to see.

I get why you would play a few seasons with Celtic particularly at the moment - it would be nice to pick up a few medals. But surely the novelty would be wearing off a little by the time you’re picking up your fifth League Cup winners medal? Once you’ve won every trophy in Scottish football a couple of times you’d think you might want to try something different, where you and your team mates can’t turn up, play at 75% and still win at a canter most weeks? Somewhere you have to play out of your skin every day in training just to get a game on a Saturday. And, as you say, probably get paid a bit more too.

Richard Foster that left Aberden for Bristol after having been on loan at Rangers? A cynic might say he was offered more money before he came back to Rangers after failing at Bristol.

If Forest Green or Yeovil would've taken him he'd never have been back.

Foster is slap bang in the middle of an era growing up where it was drilled into you that playing for Celtic or Rangers was the be all and end all if you were a Scottish footballer.

A horrific thing to aspire to.

I really can't see a situation where that   would occur with big enough numbers to make it an issue.
Even if it was they would have a limit like everyone else.

This is part of the problem

The hospitality industry, rightly or wrongly, was given special treatment because the economic impact of a protracted shutdown would be on a national scale.

Even if we assume, for the sake of argument, that Small time football can minimise the risks more easily, with a few hundred people paying buttons to get in once a fortnight and with a small largely part time workforce it isn’t anywhere near as important to the economy

And if it’s more than a few hundred people then the logistics behind making it covid safe(ish) become daunting

That seems a bit dodgy given his assistant refereeing responsibilities.

As dodgy as Dundee's vote getting held up in email quarantine and no one looked for hours, allowing time for Dundee to hold "discussions" that led them to change their vote?

But nowhere near as dodgy as successful businesswoman Ann Budge handing the contract for building the main stand at Tynecastle to her own brother.

No, that is nowhere near as dodgy. Not sure I'll take lectures on owners, including some who liked to keep things in the family,  from a Dundee fan though!

I mean, it’s Hearts’ array of batshit crazy owners that stops us from taking the crown for most chequered history, but OK.
