So we've got the whining 10% of clubs that are forming the basis of most of the discussion. Presumably no chance of the counter argument ever being aired.

No, no.. if they did that then they couldn't spend hours with intellectual behemoths like Neil McCann repeating the mantra "what I don't understand is why anyone would be against this", while looking around at the very journalists whose job it is to to find out why anyone may be against it.

It's crazy that these arseholes can't wrap their heads around clubs  voting in their self interest. In the end of the day each club is running a business. You have to make the decisions that suit your club that you either own or work for. You can't think of taking a loss just to help a rival. To then say clubs who made the right decision for them are not "doing the right thing" is insane.

His argument was that the broader environment is also the responsibility of the members. The members have exercised their vote after consideration and no matter how much he doesn't like it there are no other options I can see that would form a resolution without even more squabbling.

Well, no, because the other clubs aren't that bothered about this. They're more concerned with minor issues like not being able to play games in front of fans, or their players not yet being able to start full contact training.

Not many on Sportsound are bright enough to understand this one - that directors of plcs have a legal duty here, and they cant just decide to vote for a financial loss "because Neil McCann thinks its unfair".

I allow a bit of latitude here for Willie Miller who has mentioned directors duties on more than one occasion.

eta, just had to switch off as McCann was interviewing Steve Clarke

So Falkirk’s position seems to be that voting in self interest is fine, but only if you agree with Falkirk?

Would have been nice if Gordon has actually asked them what they would have been voting for given there seems to have been no detail of how the split would have worked, how prize money would have been realigned, etc.

Falkirk - “vote 14-10-10-10”

Others - “how would it work”

Falkirk - “not telling”

Others - “Ok we’ll pass”

Falkirk - “you’re all self-interested b******s”

I didnt hear much of the show earlier, but presumably they covered this statement by Tears FC and Snotters Thistle FC?

Am I right in assuming that Tom English - Mr Transparency when it comes to the SPFL - hasnt demanded that these 2 clubs release more detail than this pishy one line statement?

Did any of the other presenters question the motives of these two clubs?

And how many clubs who voted for reconstruction were doing it for the good of the game exactly. Maybe they think they were, but they're conflating their club being benefitted with that being good for the game. The clubs against it were doing exactly the same thing.

Tom English, 'If you don't think there needs to be an independent review then you've not been paying attention'

What a w****r. Needs to be an independent review into his fucking accounts at this rate.

Remember Gary Deans awful interview the other day? https://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/2020/06/...ans-interview/

He is only on the show today because they are scraping the barrel of people who will come on and support the anti SPFL mantra. What next, a Scott Gardiner / Stewart Robertson *** tag team?

We all know that most of our clubs CEOs have refused requests to go on - primarily because they dont want to stoke up further ill feeling and/or because they didnt support Hearts and reconstruction.

It is telling that those who have gone against Tom English "sense of fair play" - like Roy McGregor - have been subsequently rubbished in his BBC columns.

Its pathetic
