That's the foreign players that've played regularly (there's also two others on the squad periphery). Of those, Hayes and Roos have spent their entire professional careers in UK and Scales is on loan from another Scottish club. That's not at all an unusually high amount of foreign players for the league. btb Posted January 29, 2023 Share Posted January 29, 2023 It's not just the furriners though, it was a lazy (at best) statement from Miller but it does contain a kernel of truth - very few players spend even as much as 5 years with their clubs these days and when the going gets tough the indifferent become even more mediocre, it just doesn't matter to them as much as it does to us. I've been unfortunate enough to see a few Saints teams where the majority were going through the motions which seemed very much the case for the Aberdeen players yesterday, teams that were just waiting to lose the first goal in order to go into their shells. I don't know what a manager does when a team reaches that situation, maybe you can only hope for an outrageous piece of good fortune to restore the good humours, sadly for JG it never happened and he'll just have to take Scarlett O'Hara's advice that tomorrow is another day. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Millar has form. Yes, there is an issue with journeymen footballers coming and being perceived that they "don't understand the club".
