I'm assuming this is perhaps Ryan Hardie rather than Zak Rudden, since the former would make about 5% sense compared to 0% for the latter.

i think Rudden might be for the Under 21s. He is still eligible for this campaign and the distinct lack of strikers means it wouldn't be that bad a shout.

It would be a terrible shout, he's got a good but not amazing goalscoring record in the Scottish Championship, nowhere near what the likes of Shankland and Nisbet were doing and there are still doubts about both of them.

Aye but who else is there for the U21s? Playing Middleton through the middle is absolute no hoper tactics.

A bunch of guys who can play across the front 3 but none (maybe one? Stretton?) that can go through the middle.

And you don't have to be that good to score at u21 level, you just need to be in the right place to take advantage of mistakes. Which doesn't happen without a proper number 9.

From Fraser Hornby's showing is he any better than the Scottish Championship? Still scored loads for the u21s.

But you don't have to be playing for the Scotland U21s to be part of the Scotland squad, there are loads of over 21 forwards out there who are much better.

To be fair, it was Foster I think, who plays with him now saying he thought Rudden had the potential to play for Scotland one day, but would need to prove himself at a higher level first. They weren't suggesting he should be starting against the Faroes or anything.

Sportsound and Off the ball just epitomises Scottish cringe. Between that Aberdonian dullard Richard “the lads” Gordon, and Off the ball’s appalling “odd couple” banter. Always placating Old Firm fans and refusing to call them out for what they are! The sooner it’s all resigned to the annals of history, the better. A dreadful listen.

Not quite sure where the Richard Gordon hate is coming from, always thought he was probably the best thing about Sportsound - without him it easily descends into Clyde Superscoreboard levels of pish.

This is obvious. Read his posts properly and you'll notice that. 

The initial post that I replied to said that Rudden had been tipped to be in the senior squad. Read the thread properly and you'll notice that.

People on here are really pissed off by the takeover by Aberdeen people on Sportsound. Like Pat Bonner. James McFadden, Michael Stewart, Alan Preston, Shelley Kerr, Tom English, Craig Levein, Darryl Broadfoot and people of that ilk. As usual the only way that folk will appreciate Mr Gordon is when he leaves.
