The colt teams are just a bunch of kids wanting to play football just like the juniors.

Full time professionals against what are effectively amateurs.

The problem with guys like you is you have "NO BALL GAMES" printed on your forehead.
It doesn't matter were kids like Kieran Tierney,Billy Gilmour or Andy Robertson end up playing.

What are you on about? I asked why Juniors clubs resigning from their league to join the senior pyramid causes an issue? Why did you suggest it would be, the inclusion of youth or reserve teams of bigger clubs is a different issue altogether.

Ironically the three players wastecoatwilly mentions are three great arguments against 'colt' teams.

Had there been 'colt' teams Robertson would probably have been punted to the Celtic one and left to rot. Without such bullshit he left and got first team football and rapidly climbed the ranks. Had he languished in a pishy 'colt' team, playing against the same League 2 jobbers every season in the vague hope of one day getting a game on the bench for a Betfred Cup game for the main Celtic squad then he would undoubtedly be nowhere near the player he is today.

Tierney broke in to the Celtic first team, but if there was a 'colt' team they might have been tempted to punt him down there and he might not have caught the eye of the manager(s) who saw his potential.

Likewise Gilmour with Chelsea.

Players make their own choices there is no loyalty in the game at that level Tierney is a great example of that.
Paddy Roberts left man city reserves and scored against them in the champions league just to prove a point.
Players don't get stuck in colt teams if your good enough you move on like Gilmour.

Many would I think. Obviously some would still make it through to the first team but rotting in a pishy 'colt' team would see the chances of thay decreasing dramatically.

Players find their own level when they're too old to play for the colt teams plus they can go on to have a decent career.

- Playin our yooth playurs against the diddy teems will turn them in too wurld clas playurs!

Make up your minds. Do you want/like/need League 2 teams or not?

Tierney showed no loyalty by not staying in a pony one horse race league to go down to play in the best paid and watched league in the world to play against a much better calibre of player?  Gotcha.

Can't wait to see all the heads gone when the colts and juniors are part of the pyramid system.

Colts definitely won’t, and there’s are very few, if any, junior teams left.

And if they're in the pyramid they won't be "juniors".

But apart from that, wcw is spot on.
