Toys out the pram from rangers.
Integrity. Ok then how about you get the same treatment as gretna and also pay your tax back?

A statement from Ross McArthur .

In our reply, we tried to be honest as we could and to make the point that we felt it would be entirely hypocritical of us to try and make any mileage by commenting on another Scottish football club, as our own club had itself already brought Scottish football into disrepute, when it went into administration in 2013, and we had to be mindful we were in no position to take the moral high ground

Without spelling that out, clearly if DAFC could not pay its own staff, players, other clubs and HMRC then most reasonable people would understand that you have brought the game into disrepute.

I thought that first 90 minutes was brilliant today. The ICT chairman interview was really open and made it completely clear what happened.
And the Rangers statement dropping was proper image.png.b3cbff5e2f9e39f83dc11e297347e12e.png

We were punished as per the other sides.
We didn't complain.
Our fans saved us.

Rangers want both sides of the coin. To continue as rangers as if nothing has happened and also take zero responsibility for tax cheating over a decade and bringing the entire Scottish game into disrepute during this time.

You cant exist and not exist to suit and then turn around and criticise the sfa. You should be hiding away accepting you were very lucky to get special treatment yet your chairman and others try to drum up some big conspiracy to deflect away the real truth in that gerard has been a total failure and the fans have wasted yet more millions and you are in debt again.

Yes we were due money to people and this is bad but our chairman outright lied to peoples faces right up to the end.

What if this is Rangers' redemption arc?

It is undeniably difficult to square all this up. Rangers are fighting towards the same vote as both of our clubs, and they are probably the only club who wont be bullied by Lawwell etc.

The flip side of that is that they are fucking disgusting in every way and I hope they die again, with no zombie aftermath this time.

Confusing times indeed.

As your teams chairman said,  you have no moral high ground here.  So don't throw stones in glass houses.

That has to be one of the best Sportsounds in a long, long time. One of the reasons was that the two main pundits were Tom English and Michael Stewart. Kenny Miller was there but stayed quiet for the bulk of the time thankfully, and I’m not sure that Willie Miller quite grasped the full extent of what was going on and stayed mainly quiet as well. Brilliant stuff today.

Tried to find yesterday's Sportsound on the Sounds app but it says 'this episode is not currently available'.  Is that normal?  Does it take a day or two to come up or has it been pulled for some reason?

It should be available. In saying that, it wouldn't be the first time that Sportsound have pulled a controversial episode from the Sounds app.

Sportsound is never put on Sounds, I imagine due to rights. However, there is a 90 minute version in their podcast. Search for "Scottish Football".

Maybe I'm doing it wrong but all of the episodes seem to be 'unavailable'.  I stepped back through the various episodes on https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000h39n and all seemed to be unavailable.

For once, this Sportsound was a genuinely good listen*, and the ICT guy certainly came across as a decent chap and laid out the timeline of exactly what happened in Friday's shambles.

His points about a) conflating promotion/relegation and the release of funding to clubs via this rushed botch-job, and b) not being able to vote for something which would immediately relegate other clubs and cause redundancies at Hearts and Thistle (and Stranraer) on Monday morning, were both well made, as was his pointing out the fact that voting Yes would have given ICT a cheque for £330,000 next week.  Good on them for not doing so, even though it'll probably end up happening if/when Dundee break their word and do a u-turn. "Something stinks" about the latter, indeed.

*Well, the first half at least.  The absence of "Biscuits", Pat Bonner and "Chick Young" definitely helped the coherence of the discussion.

Thought it was how the programme should be; interesting and mostly relevant with proper journalism in trying to get the facts without tons of useless speculating, interrupting, shouting over each other or pointless rambling pish.

As others have said, the absence of Bonner and all the other regulars was a massive positive. Miller made a cameo and Willie seemed to have little understanding of what was going on but the others were good.

Back to normal today. Chick Young living in the past. Thommo and McCann not having a clue and giving a pretty irrelevent player perspective. Only Stewart Gilmour gave a wee insight from a Chairman's view.

What was needed was current chairmen and journalists instead of pundits that aren't even keeping up to date.
