we're still trying to win games despite rumours to the contrary- there just seems to be something missing at the moment:

it wasn't a bad match on saturday despite the wind and both teams had good chances to score and muffed them. At least we didn't lose and a few celebratory shandies were had in the Club following presentation of the League trophy.

and Grim can cheer up- the corporate colours of the League sponsor meant that there is a photo of a team in red and white lifting the Lowland League trophy this season... :yucky

In the words of the immortal Cliff Richard "congratulations", we'll be back for it next season, by which time you will have found the fish that I have concealed in the base.

How much is it for students to get in to the play-off game?

Why do you need to know that Grim? I haven't forgotten how you bumped me with an ancient card at the Montrose cup tie, and I know what you look like now.

Prices ain't been decided yet, except for you - £15.

Hee hee, whoops infamy infamy they've all got it in for me! ;)

As if I'd pull a stunt like that? I think you must be mistaking me for that scouse scammer from the Rosewellington brigade, I was up there last Wednesday @ when I got back to the jamjar all the hubcaps missing, tsk!

Smashed.

Opinion differed as to Joe's straight red in the first half. Some said it was deserved, others said he won the ball, others said it was a yellow at most. My mood was not improved by entering the City Club and seeing the Chelsea v Stoke game on the telly just as Peter Crouch did a similar tackle and got only a yellow. I've seen similar challenges by other teams against City this season go either unpunished or receive a caution at most and a little consistency would be nice.

BSC took City apart rather clinically- they seem to be pretty good at Lochburn Park against us although Wednesday's game will be interesting. Whitehill's result was a small crumb of comfort meaning the Fergie Park guys can't gloat at our misfortune.

And that's all I have to say on the matter apart from I can't be bothered with players doing the dying fly and then making a miraculous recovery after a free kick is given. Is the trainer's "magic sponge" full of Lourdes Water...?

Your right Tamthebam...Ortega Deniran flinging himself about the place in the first half was a joke....the 2 BSC players treated by the physio were substituted in the first half because of the injuries sustained...one had concussion, where both physios were on the park for a clash of heads, the other was removed after another bad tackle ended up with our right back removed at halftime....

Come on ttb city have had all the plaudits and quite rightly so for winning the league because they have been fantastic but yesterday they met a team who were better than them in every department the two red cards were definite red cards as for mbu he let his players and coaches down by his stupid challenge and giving the ref a decision to make he should take the blame for the doing that his team got yesterday

No really sure where this is coming from Tam. We knew fine well if we got past the Strollers either team would have been a stiff test in the final. We know where the gloating usually comes from and it's not the Whitehill boys :whistle:5

In the finest words of Hylda Baker...

I resemble that remark!

a bog standard bog for a routine win against mediocre midtable opposition... ach, tbf to the Spartans they did applaud us onto the park which was nice and got a mention on Radio Scotland. Fair play lads.

Not quote of the day #1 "Hey you, do yer job". Spartans No 6 to the Assistant Ref. The Spartans No 6 was hooked at half time presumably for not doing his job. Fud.

Not quote of the day #2: "I'm not speaking to you"- a grumpy Grim one as I skipped past his camera at half time...

Quote of the Day "He did the Cup Final last year. I'd trust his judgement quicker than I'd trust yours". The ref to a Spartans player who was contesting a decision by Grade 1 specialist assistant Michael Banks.

We played some nice stuff today. Not a vintage Spartans performance either- the Spartans boy that got sent off for petulance should have a word with himself, it was a bit daft. The post at the far end took a battering today from both sets of players. Rumours that it was measured and found to be 6 foot wide are not true.

Now for the other half of the former East of Scotland Old Infirm...

unseasonal but wins against Spartans and Whitehill in the space of a week? It's like all me Christmasses have come at once!

I doubt this cludgie would be popular in the seething streets of Rosewell tonight though..
