Rocky85
Poor result yesterday Done some great work on the facilities in recent years but are they starting to look out of their depths in football terms IMO Threave have done things the correct way and self funded ground improvements rather than throw in players mitts. They have a top manager and long term they will be absolutely fine.

Bolder Boy
They certainly have a good Manager the question is do the Committee have the same ambition as the Manager? To date this question remains unanswered.
left half
What does that mean on and of the park ?
cheeky
They certainly have a good Manager the question is do the Committee have the same ambition as the Manager? To date this question remains unanswered. The club have ambition. They have spent the money they have on the ground and facility's without the aid of any grants. They are running the club as viably as they can and when money is available they might be able to help the manager on that front. Ambition is not all about short term aims. Long term if they can stay in the LL that is one ambition they have succeeded on. Because make no mistake it is a uphill struggle against the central belt and Capital teams who have a bigger number of players to chose from and more access to finance. Those teams also have a hell of a lot of competition for finances that threave don't have. Although there are a number of teams that seem to splash a lot of cash on playing staff, there are still a good few operating on relative show strings. Threave should be commended on their work off the park, but it could ultimately hinder them on the park and they may find themselves relegated from lowland league as a result. Getting the balance of resources, off and on the park, is a tricky thing for all clubs.
