Horgy
Good game today down at ferguson park, pretty poor weather but both teams tried to play football. Vale started very brightly and could have been two up in the first 20 mins but just couldn't out the ball in the net. There was a stonewall penalty when the city defender kicked the foot of the vale forward just as he nipped in to steal the ball. Never was there three goals in this one, the first was poor defending, allowing a ball to be crossed and the lad nipped in the back door as the vale defender was sleeping. the second was at least 10 yards offside, but the linesman played on. City did start the second half well and scored the goals that mattered! Not a great deal between these sides......

Horgy
City legend, crap report! You and the linesman should go to spec savers. I don't support either team so I have no interest other than watching a game of football. City never had any threat in the first half, other than the goal. Just be honest on here, I certainly am. Sparky09
Haha good point but I will say I did expect more from city, weather spoilt 2nd half tho. Very difficult conditions to play football in

glasgae junior
tell you what if city won 3 nil and were shocking at the back that's not saying a lot about vale who could not score against a team who are terrible at the back a win of 3 nil at any level is good indicator of superiority goals wins game, you don't score you don't win

Exactly mate we were not at our best first half but like you say what does yhat say about the vale alot o anti city people on here the vale are a bang average team that will do well to compete in the eos premier next year
glasgae junior
city legend absolute spot on not knocking them but how can they expect to be competitive when they have signed half the Berwick reserves team who were plying their trade in the first division last year and were not even in top 2 all the best to both teams for the season
Jute
Thought City won the game comfortably despite not playing particularly well. Vale looked very poor especially once City went one up. Claims of offside for the City second and third goals are nonsense and just sour grapes from a Vale team that were well beaten by a team not playing at their best. Awful weather today and with the way the water was pooling on the pitch I thought the game was not going to finish.

Could be a long season ahead but least they surviving, surely thats the main issue this season.
VALEBHOYS
Technically they could still blame the old regime as were they no left to start from scratch wi nae players and thousands of debts ? Could be a long season ahead but least they surviving, surely thats the main issue this season. The current Chairman is to blame has he went behind Chic's back and got Lamb as manager without telling half the committee. And when Chic found out he walked and so did 90% of the players. This along with other things is why most of the committee walked. So it is down to Diamond and Lamb they had no players.
citylegend
And going on yesterdays performance they still have no players heard not many player's would like to sign for lamb thats why he had to bring in all berwick reserves players

JellyBelly
The Vale are in much safer hands now than last season, the committee member who causes trouble has been removed and that will please most if not all of the Lowland league and East of Scotland clubs. Good luck to to them for the season but not when you play Stirling Uni :-)
