Fair play to Gala

Well done to GFR: £5000 a healthy sum and not to be sniffed at. More impressive as they finished 3rd bottom, while the next 3 in the discipinary table are the top 3, which is roughly speaking how these things normally work-out, IIRC. (Presumably as the poorer-quality teams usually have to defend more, and often have players of more limited ability trying to deal with players of greater ability).

Not such good reading for Preston Athletic and Vale of Leithen, however, some way adrift of the middle pack and way down in the 8.0s. Vale were not that for off having double Gala's rating!!

Normally I'd agree, but with no relegation then there's far more at stake for the top teams. Gala essentially have had 'nothing to play for' for most of the season and this may be reflected in their great disciplinary record. Reiterate though, 'may be'.

Perhaps, but it's across all competitive games tbf not just LL, which included a large number of cup-ties.

Also, as I say, for all that they had more to play for the top teams generally had the good disciplinary records. Along with Gala.

Didn't include that many cup ties for gala! ;-) also worth noting that the top two for least bookings play their home games on astro- where it's far less likely for a player to slide into a tackle and risk a booking.......

From the start of the season to the last game Gala tried to play football from the back and pass the ball. Gala beat Whitehill 3 0 at Gala and Gretna 2 1 away so did show at times what they were capable of. Well done Gala on this award keep up the good work and keep your style of play. Good to see a team that tries to pass the ball win this cash.
