HibeeJibee
First weekend in which all 3 leagues are in action. East Stirlingshire occupy the relegation place (which the BBC league table hasn't yet cottoned-on to), on GD, below Berwick, East Fife and Queen's Park. In the HL, at the 3-game mark, defending champions Brora lead on maximum points, GD placing them above Inverurie, Turriff + Formartine. In the LL, also at the 3-game mark, East Kilbride top the table on maximum 9pts, ahead of Edinburgh City on GD.
BerwickMad
This is going to be one 10 month long w**k until you ejaculate come playoff time, isn't it?
MOFOREVER
Montrose should be brought back into line for getting the table out of alfabetical order. We Mo fans also deeply apologise for occupying top spot so early when other fans insist that their teams are much better and we are really not very good. After all it was only lovely little cuddly Shirey Pirey we beat and not the mighty Clyde or the unbeatable Berwick. By the way our game next week is postponed so our 'week in the sun' won't last any longer.

Gogs Grog
Clyde playing 'The Rangers' in the cup. As an aside, I can't think of another league in the world that would postpone competitive games for a club to make money in a friendly.
berwick-the-unbeatable
I can't think of another league in the world that would allow the home team to not turn up with no repercussions, but you weren't complaining when you got off with that. Buster_Brown
I can't think of another league in the world that would allow the home team to not turn up with no repercussions Happened to us a few years back when Livi failed to show up for the opening game of the season. Ray Vaughn
Surely if the Highland League was one team short due to a team winning a Playoff into the SPFL then either Inverness CT or Ross a Country could put in a development side to make up the numbers for a season. Less travelling and competitive games might appeal to them. Heard the rumour a few times that Elgin fancy moving back to being a big fish in the HFL. Certainly they've not had a great time in the SFL. I think the Shire will be the first team to lose their League status.

Gogs Grog
The SPL? To be fair I was aware the SPL have allowed it as well, I meant Scottish Footballing leagues and authorities in general.

Gogs Grog
Historically, the SPL have allowed it. I am more than aware it doesn't exist now. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/spl/gary-teale-wants-friendly-rule-to-be-axed-128168n.21394432
Buster_Brown
I think the Shire will be the first team to lose their League status. Why? You may well be right, however over the season I think 3 or 4 teams will be involved and I don't think there is much between any of us.
Am Muilleach
Well, if we keep playing like we did today we'll be jumping up and down on the trapdoor like Wile E Coyote... Poor, very poor.
HibeeJibee
So with 3 weeks having passed, how are things looking? In SPFL2 it's still Annan Athletic sitting in the relegation playoff spot, but they got their first points on the board today with a home draw v Elgin. They are close behind East Fife, Queen's Park and East Stirlingshire who all have a solitary win from their opening 4 games. Still early days. In the Highland League it looks certain to be a procession for Brora Rangers. They won their opening 5 matches 6-0, 4-0, 5-0, 8-0, and 5-0 (away to last season's runner-up) and it was only 67 minutes into today's 6th match that they conceded their first goal. It finished 1-1, their first dropped points. Various other clubs are staying the pace for the moment - Fraserburgh, Inverurie and Formartine look the likliest to mount a sustained challenge, unlikely as it is. Most interesting to date is the Lowland League, also at the 6 game mark, where Edinburgh City are 3pts clear. However they dropped their first points at Stirling Uni today, drawing 1-1, the Uni having made a terrible start and sitting 2nd bottom with just 2pts. Behind City are a gaggle of clubs: East Kilbride at 13pts (game-in-hand), Whitehill on 12pts, Gretna on 11pts, and Selkirk and Spartans on 10pts. Although widely tipped for the title, Spartans have already dropped 8pts, and it would have been 11pts dropped were it not for an injury-time winner v EK and a late equaliser and injury-time winner at Gala. HibeeJibee
Another 3 weeks have passed. Clyde now sit bottom of SPFL2 by 2pts but half-a-dozen teams are within a few points. Brora lead HL by 1pt with Formartine Turriff and Inverurie all in the chase. Edinburgh City have the most commanding margin, 5pts clear in LL, with a pack of followers led by Spartans Whitehill Dalbeattie then EK.
