Q: Liverpool's post-Suarez spunk or Tottenham's post-Bale spunk - which is the worst parade of overpriced dross?

It's a toughie, but I think this year's effort wins out.

Spurs did a better job of getting a mixture of proven and potential players, although the lack of clear communication between the manager and those purchasing the players didn't help. Liverpool's problem appears to be that virtually none of the signings addressed any weaknesses they had or the big Suarez shaped hole up front, and this was with a manager who they probably thought knew what he was doing. Have to give it to Liverpool on that.
