The Master
The pound. We dont need a plan B Why dont you idiots see this ? A plan B is needed because delivering a currency union isn't in the Scottish Government's gift. If Salmond (or whoever from the Yes campaign) gives a solid answer to the question, it would go away. Mastermind
We dont need a plan B Why dont you idiots see this ? Please provide evidence that rUK will let us use sterling? Salmond certainly couldn't provide it there. Unless you mean Salmond will bend over a barrell and accept absolutely everything Westminster decides to impose? G-MAN
Salmond is being battered now by Darling. The good thing though is that Darling focused on the one issue for a good 10 minutes, if Salmond uses a scattergun approach he may hit more heavy blows. If you rise above the only argument the No campaign have, he is in no way being battered

The Master
Don't particularly think Salmond is being battered on currency, no one can stop Scotland using the pound. It's madness to think it will be other than that. The point is that Salmond nor Sturgeon say that in the absence of a currency union, unilateral use of the pound is what will happen. Why not? Mastermind
Is Salmond just going to spend the whole debate just reading out silly little quotes rather than discuss real issues? Really been disappointing so far.

doulikefish
Darling has been well coached to shout over salmond as previously mentioned this will have done nothing to sway any undecided voters
Mastermind
Been pretty easy for Darling so far, actually quite surprised. Really appearing the better and more mature politician. Salmond really blowing a big chance to close a significant gap, wasn't expecting this.
The Master
The pound is plan b. It's all well and good you saying that. But why won't Salmond? Or Sturgeon? Salmond said tonight almost verbatim what Sturgeon said on Sunday - dodging the question instead of a straight "we will use the Pound without a currency union". Spain
In my opinion, if Yes had pushed the concept of a new currency from the start they'd be in a better position. The inability to guarantee the pound is a ball and chain to Salmond.
