footiefanboy
Any thoughts on tonight's games.. Seems like 6 games on There is a full fixture list tonight, eighteen games, and I haven't heard of any postponements. I think the original poster may have been confused because there are only odds published for the 6 league games tonight - McBookie don't produce a book on Grill Cup Ties. Weather up here is excellent today, dry and sunny, so, unless there are problem further west and/or north can't foresee any postponement issues. CityDave
One of the great fixtures in Junior football this evening when New Elgin are at home to Inverness City at Pinefield, the first time both clubs will meet in the Superleague. A great advert for football away from Aberdeenland and shows football west of the Deveron is on the rise. C'mon City.

CityDave
Reasonably pleased with the draw though we could have lost it in the 1st half when N Elgin were the better side and won it in the 2nd as we got better as the game went on and a Danny Murdoch freekick hit the crossbar near the end of game. I thought New Elgin despite having a years experience in the top league didn't look a better side than us and I thought they seemed a decent outfit until the last 3rd when they seemed either to lack confidence or just lacked the fire power up front to do us any damage. We looked the better team in spells in the 2nd half especially when the tempo raised and we could string the passes together and create chances, but as I said it was in spells. Don't know who scored Elgin's goal (they scored first) edit - Daniel Forde, Eddie Fuller got ours about 10 to go Fair result over all and it looks like some hard work to get the players match sharp with those 3 cup games ahead then 4 very tough games against Banks o Dee, Dyce, Hermes and Maud next up in the Superleague. CityDave
Maud have full points from "The Group of Death!" Early days but do you think they have a chance of winning the title this year? I might be able to answer that better after we play them and we have matches against 3 potential league winners coming up in successive weeks before we play them on the 13th Sept. I still think Culter will be the team to beat in the league.
CityDave
Both Grantown and Spey Valley have been expelled from the GA Cup after failing to submit their annual return and fee when they failed to appear at the North Tayside AGM in Stonehaven. The clubs that came to the meeting voted to expel them from the competition. Both Hermes and Stonehaven who were drawn against Grantown and Spey Valley respectively, have been given byes into the next round.
