Interesting point by Michael Stewart on the Sportsound show yesterday. Seetheco are rightly getting a lot of pelters for persisting with auld clobbers when they could've been building from a team of hungry youngsters and still romping the lower leagues. However, Celtic have done almost nothing in the meantime regarding blooding and persisting with their own young Scottish talent in the meantime while still 100%ers to win the league.

Where's the talent from the Celtic youth system and why aren't they getting first team action? I see Denny Johnstone has bolted recently.

You'll have to ask Neil Lennon that, everyone thought that when Rangers went down the shitpan it was going to be a real chance to blood youngsters at Celtic especially in domestic football, its clear that the talent is there but unfortunately Lennon never really went for it, he gave youngsters chances here and there but it became clear that when everyone was fit he would always go with his tried and tested experienced players even in situations like after the league was tied up, to defend Lennon a bit over the quantity of youngsters getting chances we do have a quite astonishingly horrific record in recent years of promising youth on the verge of first team football getting long term injuries but still a lot more could have been done.

Oh great, a untested 19 year old defender. just what we need

I see Ronny has said we have "a lot" of money to spend on transfer, but wages are the problem and we might have to wait until January before doing some serious business in the market

Celtic transfer activity to date...3 loan signings in and a Bosman who had not kicked a ball in anger in two years.

Millions in the bank and another 10mil from the Lurch sale..Lawweell Economics at its finest.....and the bhoys swallow it hook, line and sinker.

Yeah banking money clearly isn't the way to go. How's your own team getting on with its current signing policy, any more emergency loans required to keep them going?

Regarding hook, line and sinker when will this link Charlie established between Rangers and the Dallas cowboys begin to bear fruit? Any promising quarterbacks ready to make the transition to launching high balls at Kenny and Kris?

Played against Dundee in the pre-season game - didn't impress.

Didn't impress was an understatement. He was brutal. He looks huge and dominant but was being bullied by our players who were half his size.
