The worrying thing for Man Utd is that they've spent all this money and it's not gone very far at all. RVP is declining, Falcao will be away at the end of the season, Rooney's probably also past his peak and is hardly a great physical specimen, in a year or two they are going to need a couple of huge signings up front. Their midfield has improved slightly with Herrera abd Blind, but they're still pretty limited players at the very top level, Fellaini will never be good enough and Carrick is past his best too. And their defence is still dodgy. Rojo will be a good centre back but they've no-one else. Fergie signed a few goalkeepers who were diddies in his time, but they should be thanking their lucky stars he pulled a blinder out the bag with De Gea, they'd be in a right mess if he'd got that one wrong.

Not sure why Pocchetino favours rotation so much.

I'd imagine it would be down to him wanting a high pressing, high tempo, style, so if you're not fully fit he won't play you
