£6k a week for Boyce seems a bit OTT.

Once the transfer window's closed, you can add up the wages of absolute scrubs like Whelan/Wighton/Keena/Mulraney/hopefully Maclean, Berra and Doyle, then tell us whether you think we're overpaying for Boyce.

£6k a week for Boyce seems a bit OTT.

We got more in transfer fee for Mulraney and cleared Whelan and apparently Berra’s wages soon (thanks for that btw), given our squad was bloated I’m happy with investing it all in one player who could score the goals to keep us up, those 3 certainly weren’t going to judging by the first half of the season.

Aye, £6k a week for Boyce is just a smart move tbf.

Add the reported fee of £150k, add the wages until the season ends (16 weeks) which would be £96k, and Hearts have effectively spent £250k to stay in the division, while also turning a net profit.

Hope I'm wrong, but I've got a feeling that Smith or Hickey will be offski this week.

I can't see Smith going, well hopefully not anyway.

According to Boyce it was Smith and Washington that were constantly texting him about joining them at Hearts.

I can’t see Smith going. Signed a contract extension a year ago saying he was happy and family were settled. Can’t see him chasing a move anyway.
Hickey might be subject to interest but I’m not sure anyone would bid anything that’ll turn our heads, especially given the issues we’ve had for so long at left back.

Counting your chickens before they've hatched, mon ami. ;)

You should've counted Wighton when  you had the chance. Scored winner for the other team in maroon who are now only one point behind you.

What was his assessment of Andy Irving?

Said before the game he wouldn't be able to compete with the Rangers midfield.  Given Irving has been tremendous  since he's came in and Daly was his coach for years and couldn't see that kind of ability in him it only serves to make hm look like an idiot.

Good riddance, right enough.

I hope Berra watched that game yesterday and now realises why he's been punted.
