McGarci
with the same team but gordon instead any of the 3 GK, anyone doubt would we have save the season? Edited June 29, 2020 by McGarci
NJ2
with the same team but gordon instead any of the 3 GK, anyone doubt would we have save the season? If we had Gordon from the start of the season you mean? Quite possibly but he’d have been up against it on his own at times. No doubt that losing soft goals every week would have impacted the outfield players, maybe stop some of them and folk might have performed better but we’ll never know really.

Decent Better than decent id say, at his peak a world class keeper, hopefully he can stay clear of injuries and help get the Jambo's back up.

Johnstoneton
No matter who joins up in the next 4 or 5 Weeks in the dugout or on the park the Jam Tarts are still making a wee journey to Cappielow... Let's hope its in the middle of winter in the Wind & Rain to make Budgie & Co feel welcome... & Arbroath & Alloa to look forward to also the Championship awaits...
Empty It
When was this?He won save of the decade in probably the highest rated league in the world just before his bad injury, unfortunate timing for him. If he wasn't world class he certainly wasn't far off it.

Good saves do not make a world class 'keeper. He was certainly very good but not even close to world class.

To be world class you also have to be a good footballer. Craig Gordon has never been a good footballer.
grumswall
He was also talked about a move to a better team before his injury. Gordon is undoubtedly the best 'keeper Scotland has produced in a generation. Injuries unfortunately stopped him having a better career than he has had.
Crawford Bridge
He is also bang average when it comes to dealing with crosses. His flapping at the England equaliser is a good example. I'm not saying he isn't good, but world class? Not even close. Edited June 29, 2020 by Crawford Bridge

Empty It
Manchester United and Arsenal were in for him before his injuries and even in 2017 Chelsea were after him.

De Gea has looked awful at times but like Gordon is still a world class keeper, even the best keepers/players have off days.

Empty It
Sunderland literally broke the transfer record for a goalkeeper to sign him.
D'Jaffo
World class is a term used far too often. Craig Gordon at his peak was a brilliant goalkeeper though and even at Celtic was very, very good. I’ve no doubt had he avoided injury he could’ve gone on to play for a top 4 English side and would’ve perhaps gone on to be regarded as “world class”.
DC92
Excellent signing and a complete no-brainer. Aside from being a massive improvement on our options for the last couple of seasons, I'm hoping he'll have a calming effect on the defence. They've been a constant bag of nerves with Pereira letting everything in and Zlamal doing mad shit behind them.

Good to see him staying in Scotland.
