You cant say it's unfair to relegate Hearts after 30 games because they can still finish 8th, and not say it's unfair to give Hearts 12th placed prize money when they can still finish 8th.

Unless, of course, you dont actually care about what's "fair" and are just desperately working out a system that sees your club saved and would get the backing of cash starved clubs at the bottom of the pile (for example: Rangers "dont give Celtic the title and get your money now" sales pitch)

Eh? I'm saying the opposite. I'm saying that denying cash-starved clubs towards the top of their leagues , and giving out only the amount eventually due to teams at the bottom - Like Hearts and Partick - is blackmail

Yes, but they cant hand out more until they decide how to end the season and what position teams are in.

Handing out the minimum amount, keeping clubs ticking over until a decision is made on final positions, at which point you give the teams the money for their final position, doesnt sound like blackmail at all.

Why?

Well how much do they give each side?

With the knowledge that it's all relative (top 3 in top flight have been given minimum amount for finishing in top half etc.), how exactly do you change that before knowing the exact finishing position for sides?

Well, how about pay on basis of teams dropping 2 or 3 places?  Could be worth an immediate £0.25m to St J. If, eventually any team has been overpaid £50k or £100k they can be made to repay before entry to the league. But, of course, by your own logic there will be no more games anyway to alter positions if the league is called now, will there?

So you effectively want to put teams in debt?

Those that don't need it, don't need to spend it. Hundreds of thousands are being withheld as against maube tens of thousands being repayable by a handful of teams. But, as I say, you are being illogical because your position is that no more games will be played.

You sound very like these bankers who are failing to get the government-backed emergency loans out to businesses. No idea of the immediate dangers to businesses/clubs.

No more games will be played. This season is done.

Okay - so why is a bigger payout dependent upon any vote?

Because they havent decided how to settle the final positions yet. Once they decide that, and that then settles the final positions, they can give each team the amount they're due.

How much can they fkn change if there are to be no more games? St J can swap with Hibs based on points per game - that's it. So stop being gullible. They could help clubs  by paying almost everything out.

They can end it by points per game, or by points. They could go back to a time when clubs had only played 1 home, and 1 away, fixture against each other. They could write off the entire season.

Until something is actually voted in, not one person has a concrete idea of who deserves what money.

Are st Mirren the only club in history to have had another clubs badge on their stadium?  You must feel proud of that.  That'll help you get a mention on quiz shows etc.  That's brilliant.

No. Broadwood- Cumbernauld Colts and Clyde is just one example of this.
