Haddington and Dunbar have both completely rebuilt so there are players going about, although granted Haddington have spent a warchest of cash in doing so (apparently). Did players not want to sign for the manager...... for a start facilities at haddington and dunbar are superior to tranents so that could be a factor.. Johnny Harvey was always going to attract players after job he done with edinburgh granted that 8 players stayed on from last year and he got few from Tranent and few from edinburgh.. Geoff had a lot of last seasons squad too but having just retired and been in the junior game could attract players.. Lastely money could be an issue as Tranent knew first few seasons of hamish' reign was all about clearing debt and building a foundation which from what I'm hearing they have done so. Tranent have a signed squad of 23 players ,of which, only 11 or 12 are reasonably experienced.The past 3 or 4 games theym have had 4 or 5 players missing and these guys have to be replaced by the younger lads. One of the best players to ever pull on a hoose shirt, big Coops was in the dugout for a couple of league matches before DC took charge and if memory serves he won them both mate.
