Panda Pies Posted June 3, 2014 Share Posted June 3, 2014 is this not the 3rd summer in a row we have announced the appointment of a commercial manager and each time so far nothng whatsoever has changedDon't think we have had one since they paid off all the administration staff many moons ago. Hugh Cameron was the commercial director and then the last year or two it's been down to volunteers. But both of these ways, the guys could only commit so much time. He certainly..eh..has the clubs interest at heart at least.I dunno how qualified he is for the position though but i have no doubt he'd put the effort in. After a while, once he brings in his first modest contract, expect a rambling late night post raising a glass of wine to the Commercial Department. Not sure if he has any experience in this area. Perhaps Lachlan's tastes have simply changed* *this is a humorous post referencing back to previous controversy, and not to be taken seriously. Thought Kean and Robertson played well yesterday but it was against 10 man Glenafftheirheids! A find like Dale Hilson that was at Forfar on loan would be good, He played over 100 games for on loan. We have had so many failures in that time. McKay and Reynolds are two for example. Hilson has been released by Dundee United, apparently. Wonder what level he'll end up at. Kind of jealous of the geographical location of Forfar, Brechin and Arbroath. As much as I'd love that to be true, I think we'll be his last resort currently. He's linked with a few Championship clubs, especially Falkirk and Livingston.
