Cowdenbeath 2014/15 Championship Thread

Serious question. What were the thoughts of the supporterd towards Cameron as a manager?

Obviously things didn't go too well for him last season, but the fans were very patient and gave him every chance to get things right on the pitch. Think this was because of the success he brought us when we won the 2nd Div Championship and survived in the 1st Div 2012-2013 when we won at Hamilton on the last day. Obviously Dunfermline losing to Airdrie and their points deduction had a big hand in that. There were a few dissenting voices on the terracing, but very much in the minority.

Liked him as a player when he first came to Cowden, great reader of a game. Unfortunately, his signings were mostly poor and he seemed to make most folk at CP miserable. Jimmy Nic is breath of fresh air in comparison.

Any chance we could entice Gomis back to Central Park? He'll have better offers, but playing in Scotland's most competitive league against high profile teams, probably televised, would put him back in the shop window. Or, since Falkirk don't have a manager yet, could we entice Marc Millar to CP for the same reasons?? Dreaming does no harm...

Gomis will get offers from Hearts, St Mirren and Partick. I can't see why he would want to come to Central Park at guy in his late 20s. Millar similarly will get far better offers than us. Dundee looks like his destination.

Probably right, Muz: but Kane Hemmings had better offers when he signed for Cowden. All the attention next season is going to be focused on the Championship, and - like Hemmings - playing a starring role in a "wee" team (and on TV) will raise a good player's profile.

Just aswell it does no harm as you are doing a lot of dreaming there! ;-)

Although you do have a point we may be able to attract a higher calibre of player than usual with more money available and bigger games/ crowds.

Jimmy Gomis fuckin hates Dundee!

You no heard the song?

Quality player pretty unlucky not to get a start much this season. Way out of cowdens league as well as financially.

Just the one on the Saturday at present. Trying to fix up a 'good trip' game on the 19th but we haven't got agreement yet and it may or may not go ahead.

Hope it does. Be a quality trip. Never been there
