Ollie Ormiston 45 Report post Posted July 24, 2014 Finished HRA 3 Edinburgh Alba 2....stuffy team to break down but a good friendly with working on fitness the main gain from a game like this. Ormiston got beat 0-2 by Tynecastle. Aye we lost a silly first goal when no-one from our defence could work out who was going to clear the ball as it pinballed around the penalty box and second goal was a soft penalty. Otherwise we had a couple of clean through chances second half but finished by lobbing into keepers hands. Played 2 different 11's each half, thought we did all right, still trying to find the best starting blend and fitness and finishing needs to improve. Much like HRA comment , getting the match fitness up is the gain.
tynie1874 26 Report post Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) Never a penalty, ref said the boy coulda been clever and went down therefore woulda been a dive considering a never touched him still confused to the decision thought a should have saved the resulting penalty. Good game other than that and fitness seemed to be the only issue. Edited July 24, 2014 by tynie1874

Big Z 6 Report post Posted July 30, 2014 HRA friendly last night against Bonnyrigg 21s finished Bonnyrigg 1 - HRA 4. Another good run out for the team against a very young, fit side! Couple of minus points....one of our players Mum's had a mini stroke just prior to kick off so hope she is recovering ok! Also a very nasty injury to our centre after a cheap shot tackle from their centre forward! Perfect result leading up to a tough match against Heriot Watt on sat.
