Imo, im surprised we re-signed Rooney and Burns

Burns is an enigma as the season before last he created most of our goals, so deserves the benefit of the doubt for me. Rooney has yet to step up to first team level but has been a mainstay of the double winning Stollers team, so i'm happy to trust Gus's judgement as he's till young and may have the potential to develop.

Done deal from what I am reliably informed. Was gonna chuck the seniors an come back to us but Rovers made him an offer he couldn't refuse

Cue AN86 throwing chunks haha.

Good signing for Rovers though, the type of player we could do with.

We're facing a chaining myself to the front gates at Cliftonhill situation here.

Not that I wish to rain on Albion Rovers' parade in any way (stop that sniggering), but IF true has anyone checked that the goods in question aren't damaged? As of three weeks ago, Mr. A was still trying to see a specialist to get his long-term injury problem sorted, and I'd hate to see you waste all that money and not get a proper return on your investment...............caveat emptor and all that!

word on the streets is that we've already got at least 10 players lined up from the Juniors, so I guess Gus's plan must be to cherry-pick the best of the senior freed players to supplement that, but only time (and the ghost of Jimmy Sanderson) will tell

there are indeed, but the trick is to identify which ones are capable of making the step-up.........................something that Gardner (your new boss in waiting) was very good at, before he decided (wrongly) that they'd be better in positions they weren't used to.......e.g. Daly as a winger, Longworth as a midfielder etc etc.

I felt Keeno's game wasnt very well suited to playing on plastic. Very slow at bringing the high bouncing ball under control. might be better where more games on grass.
