We’ve taken in about £8.5-£9m this summer though,

If not spending now, then when?

Spend £2m & bank about £6m-£7m

We haven't taken in £8.6-£9m this summer. We have taken in about £6m although the add-ons could make it £8.5m in the future.

I think we lost more than £2 million last season as I'm sure we budget for top 6. We won't see the accounts for these new signings/players sold until November 2023. Last seasons figures could be horrendous although hopefully not the 5 million we lost the previous season.

Assuming Ferguson goes for about £2.5m, we will have.

£4.5 up front for Ramsay.
£1m McKenna promotion money.
£2.5m Ferguson (not sure if up front)

Young Lewis in his Bologna gear.

According to his old man and agent, both clearly with his best interests at heart, he should be at Watford right now preparing for a 46-game slog against Hull, Coventry etc and it's a disgrace that he's out there amongst all those crickets preparing to line up for the bolognese against pish like Juve, Milan and Roma .

I think it's great that Scottish players are broadening their footballing horizons again.

For too long, the lower leagues in England was "the goal".

Good on him (and Hickey, Henderson, Doig).

As we see with Hickey, it can lead to genuinely life changing moves down the line.

Some chat that the Ramsay amount was £4.2M and we'll see what comes out re Ferguson but there or thereabout.

Fairly covers us for last season, this season and next season.

If the model continues to work we are selling other players in the next 24 months.

Free bus travel for Dons fans this season. Well done to the club, great initiative.

I remember going to the pre season game at Brighton back in the McGhee days.
The match ticket also gave you free train and bus travel in the Brighton & hove area on the day of the match.
I always thought it was a great idea and wondered why more clubs didn’t do similar.

We won't only have reduced income. I'm sure we wouldn't have budgeted for severance pay for a management team and disinterested or shite players.

Severance pay for the management team would have been minimal. They were on a rolling contract.

Shite players, not so much.

Hopefully there's some sort of professionalism or fitness clause that meant certain players cost nothing to bin. No idea if they exist or are feasible.

That's Ferguson confirmed. Undisclosed fee as per usual nowadays.

The usual bams will say he's shite but he was a great signing.

Hopefully we won't miss him too much now Barron is breaking through. Felt like Lewis was asked to fit one of the three midfield roles depending on the game. Having a settled three might help.
