The Famous Aberdeen - Season 2022/23

From what I hear, Mike Loggie (Saltire) still remains a little put out that Cormack didn't knock anything off their fee during the pandemic, and is generally unimpressed with our chairman.

May or may not be some truth in that - but very important for the club not to alienate those members of the local business community that are willing to invest in the club - as there's already enough to them who would rather put any of this kind of funding into other sports ventures, be that youth football, golf, athletics or worst of all, Cove !

Hope it’s something like BrewDog just to see the scenes and overreaction on Twitter

The club apparently have a "no alcohol or gambling" mantra when it comes to sponsorships. A lot of rumours about Shell or a company linked to Shell being the new sponsor. Should maybe search and see if Atlanta have any sponsorships along those lines. Wee Patrick Harvie won't be happy though 😂

No operator has ever sponsored the AFC first team - even in the free and easy early days of o&g when they should in theory have been on maximum charm offensive.  They have nothing to sell in the area really that they don't sell everywhere else.

It would be good to see one of the major service companys get involved - or even better get back to the international whiff that JVC gave us long ago.

Cue a five year deal with Sandy Thain Motors or the likes........

It was interesting hearing in Jonny Hayes after match interview that when he asked Beaton why he hadn’t given a foul against Charlie Adams when he hit Lewis Ferguson, Beaton said that Ferguson went down too easily. So you have to wonder what goes through a referee’s head when he doesn’t give a foul when a player gets smacked in the face with a fair force twice in a split second, and then less than five seconds later he gives a foul against Gallagher for barely putting his hand on the shoulder of a Dundee forward, who collapses as if he’d been hit in the face twice. And to add insult to injury he booked Gallagher.

John Beaton was never going to give a decision against his boyfriend Charlie Adam. Simples

Beaton appears to like screwing the Dons from the games he’s refereed this season

Aberdeen have been absolutely honking this season and are deservedly near the bottom of the league. But I can’t remember a season where we’ve had so many refereeing decisions go against us. Maybe it’s just more apparent this season with crowds back in. I guess fans of all clubs likely have this same gripe, just feels that this season has seen a very poor standard of refereeing.
