And what's worse, we'd thoroughly deserve it. Because the noisy, entitled fantasists in our support finally got an entitled, fantasist chairman in their own image. Too much negative football! Top 4 not good enough! Eye bleeding!  Boring one nils!

Instead, we'll have expansive football! Gifted foreigners desperate to ply their trade in Scotland for 2 or 3 grand a week! A genuine title challenge!

Ergo the, by a huge margin, most successful non-OF manager of the past 20 years was clearly not good enough. Tell you what, lets throw a huge wedge of DNA cash at him to get rid, and hire guys who've done sweet f**k all!

Our relegation competitors have an absolutely massive advantage.  They may not have the same money, but they actually live in the real world. It almost feels like cheating.

Did you watch the last couple of seasons under McInnes? It was sub Calderwood. I hated Calderwood with a passion but even he didn't go 10 games without a goal.

We were utter rank before McInnes got rightly binned

1 trophy in 8 years does not get you a lifetime job.

McInnes was a great manager for us overall but let's not pretend the form the club had with him at the end was anything but absolutely dreadful. Long stretches without scoring a single goal becoming more regular all the time. He had long since gone stale and he was going to leave at the end of the season anyway.

The season after his sacking being a disaster does not mean getting rid of him was a mistake.

Exactly this. Derek’s time was up, we were going backwards, everybody could see it. It only looks like a bad decision now because we replaced him with Stephen Glass.

The McInnes tinted spectacles stuff is boring. He did a good job and he will always be remembered fondly but by the end of his tenure we were rotten.

Not as bad as you boys are now though.  Or before he took over.

McInnes should be next Hibernian manager and Jack Ross, Aberdeen.  You just know though the owners won't go down that road though and gamble using the clubs money.

Not sure how that works as appointing Ross would have likely been a cheaper option than appointing Goodwin.

Nah, Jack will get more money than Goodwin wherever he goes next.    Both our clubs should have went for Alex Neil.

Alex Neil is on Burnley's shortlist. No way would he be interested in either Aberdeen or Hibernian

He should have been prior to him taking the sunderland job.  Unfortunately for both us we decided to go down a snobby gamble route.

Gordon Strachan style job share?

You're even worse than that now though. I have no idea what Aberdeen fans were expecting would happen after getting rid of McInnes.

His time had passed. If we could have hit reset and re-appointed 2013 Derek we would have. He’s said himself he would’ve left at the end of the season anyway.

I get he’ll always be compared to as he’s a good benchmark for any manager in our modern history but jeeso settle down lads.

The anger should be directed towards the utter mess we’ve made since he left.

That was absolutely horrendous.

Never really looked like scoring. The ref was next level though.
Just gets worse each week. Used to think having 2 weeks between games made the team better prepared under Glass and they would come out playing decent. Definitely not been the case the last few games when there has been that break between games.

Looks like we miss Russell and his set pieces, as we don’t know much about creating in open play.
