Said something along the lines of "If he was to head to another club in the UK then we'd have been due a fee, but it looks like he's heading back to Asia having had a significant offer from over there". It's possible that we had inserted something into his deal saying he can't sign elsewhere in the UK without us getting a fee. Of course, JET signing is anything but good news. Let's hope nothing comes of it. So Allan Russell was never going to the Euros. It now makes more sense why he so readily joined the backroom staff of Glass. His coaching star wasn't on the rise, it was on the wane with a court case hanging over him that was going to see him sacked by the FA. A trainwreck indeed... We only managed to sign him because Covid stopped him signing for someone in Asia. Martindale has a gentleman's agreement with him to release him if he signs with a club over there (which is looking likely). He previously played for PTT Rayong - just down the coast from Bangkok/ Pattaya.
