The Famous Aberdeen - Season 2022/23

Not to make light of a horrendous incident, but at least Russell can concentrate on his day job of sorting our trainwreck goal threat out - and England won’t have any clever set piece tricks on June 18.

As for Emmanuel Thomas - normally players need to play well against us in semi-finals, not 4th round ties to be signed..........see May, Main, McGeouch and er Calum Morris.

We’re signing JET, apparently

We're due a fee if he moves to another club in the UK, so not sure how much you'd be paying. It's one thing that wasn't picked up in that story

I'm honestly not too sure but Martindale mentioned it when JET told him he was heading abroad.

Said something along the lines of "If he was to head to another club in the UK then we'd have been due a fee, but it looks like he's heading back to Asia having had a significant offer from over there".

It's possible that we had inserted something into his deal saying he can't sign elsewhere in the UK without us getting a fee. Could be related to the extension clause he has in his contract at us that wasn't activated due to not enough starts.

I wonder if the club have a leaked a 'good news' story to the press to counteract the Russell story.

Of course, JET signing is anything but good news. Let's hope nothing comes of it.

So Allan Russell was never going to the Euros. It now makes more sense why he so readily joined the backroom staff of Glass. His coaching star wasn't on the rise, it was on the wane with a court case hanging over him that was going to see him sacked by the FA.

A trainwreck indeed...

I dont think that type of employment clause would be legal.

Hence, its entirely feasible that Livingston have tried to use it 😜

The 'clause' was given verbally by some of David Martindale's 'associates'.

Clark Robertson, Declan Gallagher, Scott Brown, and JET.

Are you sure Derek McInnes has actually gone?

Livi have an option to extend JETs contract for another year, just the s*n making stuff up again. We only managed to sign him because Covid stopped him signing for someone in Asia. Martindale has a gentleman's agreement with him to release him if he signs with a club over there (which is looking likely).

Can’t see Brown signing under McInnes but I take your point

Just waiting for the bi-annual rejection from Louis Moult now

He previously played for PTT Rayong - just down the coast from Bangkok/ Pattaya.   People actually get paid to play football there?! - he'll probably be like a rat up a drainpipe if that's on offer........especially after spending a prolonged lockdown in a wilderness of concrete and roundabouts.
