Cosgrove is away to England. We've received an improved offer from last week.
Talks are being held with his potential replacement. A signing that should please the fans.
Hmmmm one that pleases the fans...so somebody we already know a lot about.
Lyndon Dykes, Louis Moult or Ross Stewart

Fits the bill GG as he has been out of football since august last year after doing his cruciate ligament and we all know that McInnes likes a player that's trying to come back from a potential career ending injury

Something about a prolific striker in Scotland, who's currently at Preston, who suffered a ruptured cruciate in one knee recently, rings a bell...

Ross Stewart is terrible you won't want him, In fact all you Aberdeen fans should phone the club and tell them not to go for him... Just doing you a favour, honest.

Its neither Dykes or Moult.

McInnes is keen on Ross Stewart however its the transfer fee thats a stumbling block.  We aren't currently in a position to pay a fee like Hibs did even if we sell Cosgrove.

What about the signing we'd be happy with?

Ha ha! Once we've unveiled him to much fanfare, nursed him through a new injury & taken two seasons to work out he's not the prolific goalscorer he once was, we'll send him down your way! But not before the drama of the 'will he, won't he' period of transfer speculation.

Unfortunately for you I can't remember him playing left winger too much here :)

I've got the "touch maps" to prove he was mostly played as a LW/AM...

Since he started playing in a front two again at Saints? 5 goals in 12 games...

Used mostly as a lone striker first season. Second season he may have started playing off the left but was moved behind the striker.

Aye he's shite as a lone striker, tbh, always has been.

Cosgrove then, deservedly, took the starting role and thats that, he's not really good enough on the ball to play deeper.

Our manager spoke about playing a front three this season, and guesswork based on Millwall makes it look like a front three of May, Hendry, and O'Halloran could be the way. See how he does in that set up as a sort of "inside left forward".
