The Famous Aberdeen - Season 2022/23

That's a bit of a nightmare, if so. Whilst he has been a bit up and down this season, he is still easily our best defender on his day. Devlin has been poor for too long now, and while moving Considine into the middle could be a solution, I'm still not fully convinced by Leigh as an actual defender.

McKenna injury. Big  blow .he has been getting back to the performances we expect .  Regards Leigh he has been a massive loss bigger than we thought he be . Mr reliable  down the left side .,. Hope we  get him signed up permanently. . He makes huge difference to the shape of our side . Him back for semi would be great news.

Aye fire up the Ban-Signal and get Tommie signed up for the rest of the season. It’s easy to look at McKenna through the eyes of the early hype he got and look over the fact that he’s still comfortably one of the best centre halves in the league. Ok, he may not go on to be the next Gabriel Heinze but in the Premiership, he’s a cut above. Him and Taylor have been a great partnership and we’ll miss that IF he is indeed out for the season. It’s a big opportunity for Devlin to show the form he showed in his first run in the team. At least we know he’s capable of it, and isn’t a total write-off.

A fit Hoban would be a game-changer though.

What a bizarre comparison, especially considering he was a left back

Was Leigh really that reliable? The guy has a touch like Darren Mackie, runs like he's had a stroke and he's certainly not a better left-back than Considine. Leigh is a player who's effort/workrate masks his lack of technical ability in the eyes of the fans.

Please refrain from talking utter nonsense .  Good lad

Are you sure that wasn't Mark Gallagher?

Part of me now wonders if there was something in Jon Gallagher's first loan contract that necessitated a certain amount of minutes/appearances (probably not, but the sudden fall from a regular starting XI slot to completely out of the picture has been a bit strange).

Just reading the match report and think it was the young Gallagher we signed from County rather than Jon. Looks like it was a pretty young side put out. 1-0 win with Ruth scoring again.

Ah of course. Maybe Jon is injured then.

Considine is a better left-back than Leigh, but he is also a better centre-back than Devlin. Hernandez has apparently played left-back previously, so that will maybe be an option in the short-term if McInnes wants Considine at centre-back in a four. Logan has usually done a reasonable job on the rare occasions he has had to fill in there, but you wouldn't ideally want that to be anything more than a sticking plaster.

McInnes will hedge his bets and have consi as lcb in a back 3.

After that Killie game I'm genuinely wondering whether Hedges will be here next season. Thought he would me one of our most influential player and we must be paying him a considerable wage.
Very confused as to what has happened since the start of the season that has seen him move to our 4th choice winger.
