What contract is Kennedy on at St J. ? That’s an AFC player right there...

2020.

He'll be one of our higher earners and I'd be surprised if we didn't offer him a new contract this Summer.

As always, though, we cant compere with Aberdeen financially, so if it came to the final six months and you made a move, youd be more likely to get him than us.

The Derek McInnes "Can you sign ma pie" video I've just been subjected to thanks to a mate sending me it, is that a recent thing? It is a touch bizarre.

We all know that Dolly has a sense of humour.  They, after all, called their cloned membership scheme AberDNA.

Their pie-signing video, though, is so surreal as to be much more Lee Miller than Willie Miller:

Looks like something for the Student Show. Theatre folks farting around to promote their play. Going by Derek's tracksuit/beard length/size it's a few years back and all. Nothing to see here.

He did an interview recently stating he wanted to stay . Was worried it was going to drag in to next year though.

Aye but players say lots of things in interviews. Should've had more faith in super Joe though.

Not the standard "I love it here and we'll see what happens" type stuff though.

Great news as he's been the best keeper in the league over the three years he's been here.

I can only imagine thats a wedge of a pay rise to get him to commit to that.

Fair play to the club getting Cosgrove, McKenna, Ferguson and Lewis on long long deals. No pressure to sell any of them in 2019 or 2020 now.

It's a shame we couldn't have announced this before the Semi. What a boost that would've been, especially in the face of the Shinnie stuff.

Either way, probably the best news we all could've hoped for. Best keeper of the last 20 years and by the end of his deal there's a good chance he'll be seen as the best we've ever had.

I admire your enthusiasm, but he'll never be as good as Leighton. Or even Theo Snelders, or Bobby Clark.

Still the best keeper in the league though, and it's great news to keep him.

Yes, but we have a generation brought up on Preece, Gonzalez, Esson, Langfield, Jason Brown and Soapy T1tw@nk.....

Only Peter Kjaer and the short spell of Danny Ward have been acceptable since Snelders left - even Leighton Mk II wasn't quite the same as the passback rule had been implemented and he couldn't kick.
