d31 Posted August 8, 2018 Share Posted August 8, 2018 We have McKenna, Devlin, Hoban, Considine, Ball and Reynolds who can all play centre back. That's before considering Roscoe etc could come in for one game (just as well as Logan or Shinnie could for one game). Although Reynolds is out for 6-12 months its really not that bad overall. Logan is out for two games, McKenna four games and Hoban is carrying a knock. I'd really rather we did not sign another centre back. Championship/League 1/2 will know who's surplus or where they're lacking. Free agents are more likely to know what their chances are of getting a contract down south. From the sounds of it there have been plenty of iron in the fire but most went cold, but there is definitely a deficiency in the recruitment side of things. Before McInnes came in I wasn't too keen because it seemed like a decent amount of his success at St. J was signing folk he knew from his playing days.
