Drooper
Old workmate of mine bought one when he first got married. He lived in it for a few years until his place on the council housing list came up. When he tried to sell it he was told that only the caravan park owner could buy it as it was hidden away in the small print when he bought it. The owner paid peanuts! This. We looked into it a few years ago and worked out it was going to cost a fortune. Most sites dictate that you must renew your caravan every 10 years and that the site owner has first dibs on buying the old unit. Also remember the yearly site management costs were astronomical, £1000s a year +1 for this. My in-laws had one at the Kinkell (sp?) Braes site in St Andrews, and, when my father-in-law died, the owners pulled this stunt out the bag. Sickening stuff, but it was no doubt in the small print. The van itself had a few miles on the clock but was spotless and in fantastic nick as it had been very well maintained. The site fees and maintenance etc., are a nightmare, though, so I would give them a wide berth (geddit?)

Mr Bairn
I shagged in a static caravan once, a long time ago now, in Stonehaven. It wasn't very static, the earth might not have moved for the girl but every other fucking thing did although I was much more enthusiastic and energetic than I am these days. Neighbours were cheering.
