Stevie88
no interest in John McGinn? another player i rate highly CraigKillie was interested but the deal didn't go through. John was fantastic last season but doesn't seem to be quite at the races so far this season. He's was particularly disappointing in Friday night at Firhill. He is a good player and has showed flashes of his form last year, his contract is up in the summer so he will be away then when we're relegated. flyingscot
Dundee are interested in having all three brothers next season. Apparently all 3 brothers doesn't work together. John can't track back at corners neither etc etc....

flyingscot
Exactly how financially fucked are St Mirren? Also how fucked will they be come May on Champioship income? Who knows. We had to bag Craig, financially even if expensive it made sense, just a woeful appointment. Every recent window is spent paying off the managers woeful signings in the last window- be it Lennon or Craig. That cannot be cheap. McLean was on a lot of money (but was one of the few constantly earning the corn) so perhaps an expensive player off the books, some cash to balance them and we have wages for a few new faces. Even so demoralising for the fans and team to lose a good player so cheaply and at a rotten time.

paisleysaints
Who are the dundee fans going to troll next season. Seems to be more of them posting on saints affairs than anyone else. I'd expect maybe county motherwell as they are our nearest n dearest.
Coventry Saint
Motherwell in relegation battle - bring in 7 new players St Mirren in relegation battle - sell their best player. You boys are fucked. We've got previous for this. Your neighbours bought their way out of trouble in 2000/1 - we sat and watched them strengthen when we were in a position of relative comfort. Then wondered why we were being caught. There simply appears to be no genuine appetite at the very top of our club to do what is going to be required to avoid relegation. They seem to be hoping - and hoping is all they are doing - that we can somehow win over two legs in the playoff final. That said, if our front six were fit and firing, it's not looking bad (making some big assumptions here about Osbourne and Thompson being fit, and Sonupe turning out to be more Isma than Drury.) Mallan - Osbourne - McGinn Dayton - Thompson - Sonupe But fucking hell, that's wafer thin. Take any of those out the equation and we're starting to look very thin indeed. On any given day, three of those could be injured, based on this season so far, McGinn isn't firing, and Sonupe could turn out to be all pace and no skill. Shows how much McLean has been carrying us so far this season.
paisleysaints
That's the problem for the saints support is the total disinterest from our board just happily plodding along. Not wanting to invest in the team. When will the wake up no one is going to buy the bloody club from them.

flyingscot
Motherwell in relegation battle - bring in 7 new players St Mirren in relegation battle - sell their best player. You boys are fucked. Pretty much. The only question is whether the players brought in by teams are any good. We brought in lots of players in the summer and have spent most of the time paying them off. Biscuits
Thought id pop over to the official site to read exactly why we had to sell kenny. Surely some kind of statement or explanation from the board? To quote Jim Diamond - I should've known better....
pozbaird
Motherwell in relegation battle - bring in 7 new players St Mirren in relegation battle - sell their best player. You boys are fucked. Can't disagree with that. Fcuking amateur hour... again, as the debt free status secured by selling Love Street, the 2013 cup win, and a long unbroken run as a top flight club has not seen us become something akin to St Johnstone - a solid outfit with a balanced squad who are eyeing the top end of the table, not shitting themselves about relegation every season. Kid loanee after kid loanee after kid loanee....
sergie's no1 fan
We didn't really have much choice in the summer, sign up McLean with a release clause or not have him at all and he probably wouldn't have been signed by anyone and could have been frozen out the game, wouldn't have been fair on Kenny and might have been rather ugly. We maybe could have bargained with the release clause to be a bit higher but our hands were pretty much tied. The money will be used to pay off TC and his shit fest signings which the board have to take the blame for. McLean will have been one of the highest paid players so I'm hoping we will see at least 1 more player in considering we were already in the market for another player. We'll just need to get behind the players we have now, even guys like Wylde.
