djchapsticks
Statement from English consortium posted on bw army http://www.blackandwhitearmy.com/forums/index.php/topic/39270-statement-from-english-consortium/ Shambolic statement. Shambolic situation. No one is coming out of this debacle with any dignity whatsoever and we as fans and St. Mirren FC in itself are the ones left suffering badly as a consequence. We're being let down on all fronts.

AberdeenBud
St. Mirren FC are fast becoming the laughing stock of Scottish football. Pleasing. Only 2 administrations and a few seasons of desperate mewling and we'll be right up there with Dundee's proud record.

Bobby_F
Statement from English consortium posted on bw army http://www.blackandwhitearmy.com/forums/index.php/topic/39270-statement-from-english-consortium/ As others on P&B have said, bullet dodged. Just wonder what we might end up hitting as we jump out of the way though. Our situation is not beyond saving this season YET - but something concrete needs to happen with the manager and new players very very soon - or else we've zero chance of finishing even in the play off place. flyingscot
If I had a couple million, I'd buy St Mirren tomorrow, just to stop the charade of tyre kickers and let us get on with things. The sale is so boring, been years now!

The comment around having a "Head of recruitment and comprehensive European scouting facility"Was my personal favourite. Definitely a bullet dodged! Bobby_F
The comment around having a "Head of recruitment and comprehensive European scouting facility" Was my personal favourite. Definitely a bullet dodged! Yip. Saints employing a team of, say, 5 scouts in each of 20 European countries so we can find the next Messi. Can't see any flaws in that plan at all. AberdeenBud
"predominantly looking up top" I severely hope that doesn't mean he's going to neglect the only defence in Britain not to keep a clean sheet.

djchapsticks
As someone mentioned on B&W Army, it's utterly shameful that we as fans are almost having our hand forced into welcoming a bid from potential shady dealers. All as a result of being run by a board which that are so fucking out of touch with the support that they will go to lengths not to put the fans' legitimate fears to rest. I know they want out and have done for a long time, but it's almost degrading to the support just how far and swiftly they appear to have distanced themselves from the little things that we as a support have taken for granted in the last 15 years. From almost complete transparency to a brick wall. Albeit a fucking leaky one. For a board that make a point of no longer interacting directly with the fans, there's some amount of big gubs who appear to enjoy leaking info unofficially. Stevie88
@bawarmy: @DouglasMcNeil @C1987b Not done until the money clears the bank, but the deal itself is done is my understanding. 100% Posted a minute or two ago on Twitter. djchapsticks
Douglas McNeil is a reliable source when it comes to SMFC. Much like Div, If he says it's 100% then I'd be inclined to trust his source. Again though, what loudmouth is leaking this information?
Stevie88
I think it was Div that's saying its a done deal. Douglas McNeil isn't convinced.

djchapsticks
So the deal is done but it's not? A bit pedantic, SF. It's quite obvious what was implied in the tweet was that all the terms appear to have been agreed upon and it's now just a case of waiting for the cheque to clear so to speak.
