airdrieman
Very pleased with this signing. Should more than adequately fill the gap left at centre - half.
Diamond Oracle
Very pleased with this signing. Should more than adequately fill the gap left at centre - half. Wikipedia (not that it is always to be believed) has him down as a RB/ RM?
airdrieman
I remember he played right - back for us but I'm sure I read somewhere he could play centre - half. Could be wrong though! Sure he can also play as a centre mid.
Airdrie76
Played centre half at Inverness for a bit (after previously turning out at right back) and then played there for Edmonton while in Canada. They seem to have rated him too. Good signing.

Diamond Oracle
I see Jamie Bain was looking for a move away from Airdrie
Johnny Martins Willy
I see Jamie Bain was looking for a move away from Airdrie He's already signed on for next season so I think that's wrong
Diamond Oracle
He's already signed on for next season so I think that's wrong Hence the use of the word 'was'. Obviously nobody was interested in him...
Airdrie76
I read somewhere Airdrie would be due a fee if he left (for his development). Pretty much kills any chance of a move if true, otherwise I'm sure he could of picked up another club somewhere.
Diamond120593
I see Jamie Bain was looking for a move away from Airdrie As much as I like Bain he couldn't play at a higher level than us
Airdrie76
No, but he could potentially play same division or division below for more money
Nipper
No, but he could potentially play same division or division below for more money Don't agree he could get more money for being no more than a journeyman 3 tier part time player,
Airdrie76
I think it's generally accepted Airdrie don't pay particularly good wages (McAleer moving to East Fife, McCormack moving to Brechin probably backs this up). I think Bain, if free to move without a fee, would attract interest based on the form he showed last season under Bollan and the fact that he's only 22 (with over 100 games under his belt). And I doubt he's on particularly good money at the moment. If you don't though, fair enough. However, Ryan Donnelly is currently training with Dumbarton with a view to signing. That should demonstrate anythings possible...
Tulloch Gorum
Re: Coult - he's OK in a goalmouth stramash, but he's only ever going to be a fairly desperate late-sub-when-needing-a-goal option. When you see him run, it'll put you in mind of a man made entirely of knees. Good to see Proctor back!
