BossHogg
It was the company that bribed them anyway , nothing to do with the club that Fuked them on the park.

Ned Nederlander
I understand how frustrating this can be and Rangers fans have my deepest sympathy, we lost a Cup Final in 2009 to a team who were later found guilty of failing to make proper disclosure of payments to players. Ned Nederlander
I wouldn't say they cheated Rangers out of the UEFA Cup. They may have cheated others if these allegations are true but, assuming they never paid any officials in the final itself, they were by far the better team and deserved to win that match. That's very gracious of you but who's to say that Rangers wouldn't have beaten whatever opponents they should have met in the final !?
jagfox
Good. Was there not some story about a Zenit and Bayern game that was alleged to have been match fixed?
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
Rangers were denied a place in the 1993 Champions League final by eventual winners Marseille who were later stripped of the title when club owner Bernard Tapie was jailed after being found guilty of match-fixing and bribery. Fucking hell. Who writes this fiction?
HibeeJibee
Fucking hell. Who writes this fiction? That's what I was thinking. Didn't Marseille fix a league game ahead of the Final to give them an easy preparation, i.e. after they'd eliminated Rangers?
Dublinarab
Roma were found guilty of bribing officials in our European cup semi final in 1984. p***ks.
thepundit
That's very gracious of you but who's to say that Rangers wouldn't have beaten whatever opponents they should have met in the final !? Very unlikely as Rangers were by far the worst team left in the competition from about the quarter final onwards. But I take your point.

Desert Nomad
Roma were found guilty of bribing officials in our European cup semi final in 1984. p***ks. They weren`t found guilty of bribing officials, merely trying to. It had been rumoured, but only confirmed by a the son of former club president in 2011 that they had bribed the referee to the tune of £50,000. McLean & everybody else said Roma won the game fair and square at the time. Had Milne not blasted over with the goal at his mercy, Roma would`ve needed 4 to win. http://www.voicesinfootball.com/articles/article-when-roma-played-dundee-united.html http://aplaceinthestand.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/wolves-are-still-hungry.html http://inbedwithmaradona.com/journal/2011/3/28/dundee-united-2-as-roma-3.html

This. The cruel irony for us though is that we were cheated within 10 days of Rangers falling victim to similarly dishonest behaviour from their opponents. I feel heart sorry for them. I really do.
