Only with not so marquee players. Boyd, Bryson and Sammon all left for free due to having 1 year deals :( same with Kelly, but he left in the January so we could get a fee for him.

Killie got around £600.000 for Sammon when he went to Wigan and got over£100.000 sell on clause when he moved on to Derby.

Fair enough magennis is a shite signing however why are st mirren fans spouting off when they've signed equally poor players?

You've seen all our signings play then?

I've seen ridgers and Caldwell play. Not seen the other boy though.

So, you've seen our back up 'keeper and one of our back up strikers for a couple of games, if that.

It's hard to argue with such an "expert" and "in depth" opinion. :(

P.S. If you want to continue to dig a bigger hole for yourself, please post on the St.Mirren thread.

Apologies to Killie fans for going off topic.

Hadn't seen that before. Is that Savage even laughing at him.

He is a nuisance, but he rarely seems to win a header, and both his shots and headers towards goal were always weak.

When he got moving at full pace though- what a sight

Lol. Mind you Mario Balotelli is class and he struggled to put a bib on

Given you aren't trolling it's safe to say my post wasn't directed at you.

Killie fans could also argue that magennis will be back up striker too.

I've not read all the comments, but I for one really liked 'Big Wilf'.

He's a bit of a curate's egg. He's not without skill, but sometimes looks like he's never seen a football in his life.

He has bags of pace, but doesn't necessarily use it.

I can however see a partnership of him and Miller (who I think will be the weaker signing) developing (if given the chance).

Wilf is probably best used where you have a breaking mid-fielder, and he will run his little socks off trying to unsettle the centre halfs (he did it brilliantly against Celtic a couple of seasons back, pulling them to shreds).

He's not a 20 goals a season bloke and he's no fox-in-the-box, but I like him.

Good luck Wilf!

Yours

Magennis will be behind Miller, McKenzie & Muirhead to play as a striker and behind Cairney, Johnston, Obadeyi, McKenzie and possibly even Kiltie eventually to play as a winger.
