I know it was changed temporarily during Covid to 3 teams in a season but not sure if/when it was reverted back to being registered for up to 3 but can only play for 2? Goodwillie was hugely fortunate to have found a club where he was tolerated and able to play senior football pretty much under the radar, something that many would feel was way more than he deserved. Incredible error of judgement by Raith to sign him. Without knowing anything about it, I would assume the board would simply say the backlash online when they were rumoured to sign him caused them not to pursue. And that may well be the case anyway. Been a tough spell for him but can't underestimate the 11-odd goals he's scored. Sammon has done a decent job up front the last few games and I'd like to see him retain his place.
