I’m sure it was a season long loan aswell. He definitely hadn't signed back then. He was away on our training camp in Ireland with the rest of the squad and he was also assigned a squad number. Having said that Robinson mentioned that there were a few loan deals for our 20s that we had agreed in the interview he did for the club YouTube channel. That interview went live on 14th June. It seemed a bit strange that he didn't feature in the squad for the friendly we played against Crusaders as I think pretty much everyone else who was over, bar Cadden, was involved so it may be the case that we had agreed in principle but wanted him to start pre-season with us. Fwiw: Hastie's one of my favourite players in our u20s group. We've been trying to re-purpose him as a striker rather than the wide midfielder/winger he started out as. He's probably best playing as an inside forward cutting in from wide. He's a decent finisher, can play on the shoulder, has a decent burst of pace and can erm...'draw' fouls. Trouten and Spence have been linking up very well and on another day Spence could’ve had a couple of goals as well.
