Things that annoy or delight you on the telly right now

ITV believe in them because they are cheap to record and repeats are even cheaper.

In America it is even worse.  They show repeats that are more than 30 years.

"On tonight show, the winner can take home a brand new 1984 Ford Mustang".

🤣

The new series of Race Across The World is about to start on BBC 2.

Really enjoyed the first series so hopefully this one lives up to it.

Did you ever get into it? Was well addicted to the first series but thought the first episode of the new one was shite so gave up on it. Would like to know if it picks up. Just seemed like getting on a bus in Mexico City and next thing they're in Guatemala with nothing happening. Might as well have flown.

It has been pretty good. The fact that they're mostly hopeless makes for good telly.

This, although the Asian lads have got better and the Mum and son are a great team. Some of the places they see look incredible too. Which was part of the beauty of the first series, seeing places you'd never really thought of visiting before (after the last series I was actually looking up "highlights of the Silk Road holidays" on Google...)

I mainly watch it to see places I have not visited and at times I am staggered by some of the sights. The 2 Asian boys visiting the Rainbow Mountain was great considering the younger has asthma.  Some of the places they have visited now added to my want to see list.

I am disappointed that they are not finishing in Ushuaia as planned.  I reckoned the finishing point would have been the Post Office at the End of the World In Tierra Del Fuego National Park.

Yes, I saw that too. Don't know if I would have recognised Matt Lucas if I hadn't known in advance it was him.

There was a documentary made  by the BBC about him getting the role , the practice he had to go through to learn the part , It was made as a celebration of the 25 years  of the show don't know if it's still available anywhere, was a good watch too

Cannot recommend Kidding enough. Jim Carrey is a beloved, world renowned kids tv presenter going through a shitter of a time as his personal life falls apart. It's dark, funny, heart warming and wrenching in equal measures, and the acting is superb, Carrey especially is brilliant as a man trying to continue to be a good person whilst simultaneously melting down.

It's on Sky box sets (ShowTime in the States), you can thank me for the recommendation later.

John Olivers last week tonight on Sky Comedy, always gives me a laugh but it's also sometimes a bit shocking to see what's going on in the US  . Now Watching " Roads less Traveled " with Cameron McNeish recorded both parts on Saturday night on BBC Scotland channel. Good stuff

Finalists on last night's Pointless were a tall redhead (wid) with her maw. As he usually does, Alexander asked her what she would spend the money on if she won. She told him she would buy some new leather armour because she's into fantasy roleplaying.

Unfortunately she didn't win.

You know the rules. Photos or it didn’t happen.
