Worth watching if you get the time. Agreed. You have to wonder who decided to put a woman in as chaperone of the courier with the winning tickets, since all the guy had to do was go to the gents' at the airport and swap them over there.

Alan Bennett is a star so I'll give this a go. I see that Kristin Scott-Thomas is performing one episode - and that's never a bad thing. You mentioned Jodie Comer and I started watching Killing Eve the other night and have got to E5 of S1 and find it frustrating. Sure, she acts her socks off and is impressive but there's just something missing in the story-line. Not sure if I should bin it or persist..
Bully Wee Villa
I like Killing Eve, it stays pretty much silly but exciting throughout, resisting the urge to disappear up its own arse like Westworld or, shudders, bloody Lost. That said, if you aren't enjoying the first series it might be worth punting it as it basically retains the same shtick throughout.

Just catching up on Britain's Best Parents on C4. 3 sets at a time tell us their style and at the end the audience decides who goes through to the final. The winners in this one were advocates of smacking. Feel pretty uneasy that they were voted the winners tbh. I was smacked as a child and don't resent my parents for it. But being a parent myself I just wouldn't do it. On a similar note, there was a discussion on Dumbarton Memories Facebook page about the belt at school (as appears frequently) which, as usual, was deleted as it ended up a complete bunfight. However, this was one of the finest contributions to the 'debate'.
DA Baracus
I've always found it very strange and very worrying that so many folk want to see kids get physically assaulted on a regular basis. The f**k is wrong with these folk?
GordonD
I'm currently binge-watching 'Trailblazers' from the Sky Arts channel. Each programme focuses on a particular music genre and shows how it got started and interviews the people concerned (with a photo of what they looked like at the time). However I'm surprised that they did a whole episode on Glam Rock without once mentioning Gary Glitter. I know the guy is toxic waste but there's no denying he was a major part of the thing and airbrushing him out of history doesn't give an accurate picture. If they wanted to avoid paying him royalties they could have described what he did without showing any clips (and you know damn well I'm talking about his stage act so keep Kenneth in his box.)

Miguel Sanchez
Loads of Louis Theroux programmes are on the BBC iPlayer. I've seen a few of them but I've not seen a lot of the old ones. I'm currently watching the Porn episode, and seeing him posing for pictures at the modelling place is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

He’s so subtle in the way he can change from taking the piss to being sympathetic. He had a real dilemma over whether or not to appear in a film but decided against it for the sake of his future kids etc. He has just done a podcast series and a couple of the episodes are excellent (Troy Deeney & Miriam Margolyes).

spud131
Fred from First Dates and some female English chef were on a programme earlier showing you the best places to eat in Venice. She starts off by saying there are lots of good places to eat without being ripped off in a tourist trap, then proceeds to take him to a cafe on St Marks Square where they paid the best part of 60 euros for two coffees and two cakes!

Hampden Diehard
Current breakfast TV viewing is a trim American chef called Giada on Food Network. She always wears a teasingly low cut but unslutty top. I can never remember what she actually cooks.

I watched the one with the Hamiltons which coincided with the bizarre sex assault case. I ended up feeling sorry for that mad wife as the press ladled into them, which I didn't see coming. The husband came over as a simpleton (think, Tim Nice But Dim) , which just confirmed what I thought.
