Shandon Par
Watched all of Mrs Fletcher on Sky Comedy. The first episode wasn't up to much and some of the characters appear hard to warm to but glad I persevered. A divorcee sees her son off to college. She discovers lesbian porn and he goes from being the most popular boy in school to a total dick who is out of his depth at college. Worth watching for the ending.

His patter is unbelievably woeful and the thing's slower than a week in the jail. There are ten blank possible answers on the board and if you say Banana when the question's name ten fruits beginning with A, they go through all ten when quite clearly banana won't be there. Mind numbing. I like Warwick Davis but Tenable is tedious to watch. It is slow, especially when it is a subject that the contestants clearly don't have a clue about but they still go through the entire process in the false hope that one of them might have a flash of inspiration. Mind you, if I had to name 10 fruits starting with A (apple, apricot, avocado? .... ) I might have to take a punt on banana myself.

Think the family's sense of humour was getting them through a lot of it. On a separate note Joe Lycett - sorry, Hugo Boss - is back with his Watchdog style show tonight. It's been missed!
Jambomo
Watched Dynamo’s Beyond Belief on Sky. It was brilliant, great tricks as always but talking about his illness and recovery was what really made it special.

ITV must believe in them because they are all repeated later in the day and through the night. The only time itv is on in our house now is when the missus watches Corrie. ITV believe in them because they are cheap to record and repeats are even cheaper. In America it is even worse. They show repeats that are more than 30 years. "On tonight show, the winner can take home a brand new 1984 Ford Mustang".

Really enjoyed the first series so hopefully this one lives up to it. Did you ever get into it? Was well addicted to the first series but thought the first episode of the new one was shite so gave up on it. Would like to know if it picks up. Just seemed like getting on a bus in Mexico City and next thing they're in Guatemala with nothing happening. Might as well have flown.

Which was part of the beauty of the first series, seeing places you'd never really thought of visiting before (after the last series I was actually looking up "highlights of the Silk Road holidays" on Google...)

I mainly watch it to see places I have not visited and at times I am staggered by some of the sights. The 2 Asian boys visiting the Rainbow Mountain was great considering the younger has asthma. Some of the places they have visited now added to my want to see list. I am disappointed that they are not finishing in Ushuaia as planned. I reckoned the finishing point would have been the Post Office at the End of the World In Tierra Del Fuego National Park.

There was a documentary made by the BBC about him getting the role , the practice he had to go through to learn the part , It was made as a celebration of the 25 years of the show don't know if it's still available anywhere, was a good watch too

J_Stewart
Cannot recommend Kidding enough. Jim Carrey is a beloved, world renowned kids tv presenter going through a shitter of a time as his personal life falls apart. It's dark, funny, heart warming and wrenching in equal measures, and the acting is superb, Carrey especially is brilliant as a man trying to continue to be a good person whilst simultaneously melting down. It's on Sky box sets (ShowTime in the States), you can thank me for the recommendation later. Edited April 14, 2020 by J_Stewart
stanton
John Olivers last week tonight on Sky Comedy, always gives me a laugh but it's also sometimes a bit shocking to see what's going on in the US . Now Watching " Roads less Traveled " with Cameron McNeish recorded both parts on Saturday night on BBC Scotland channel. Good stuff Edited April 13, 2020 by stanton
