Silverton End
The history of Country Music series by Ken Burns is decent. Loved his Vietnam series. BBC 4 on a Friday night.

Love his stuff though - have you seen the one about the American Civil War?

alta-pete
Vienna Blood on iplayer. Not my genre of choice (that’s Mrs a-p broadening my horizons again) but very atmospheric. I’d suggest akin to a grown-ups Sherlock Holmes. Very watchable.

Hampden Diehard
Red Quest is good if you want to laugh at Americans. Watching Extreme Couponing; f**k me gently. Two fat couples with a massive pile of money off coupons spending a pishload of cash to "save" money. The worst bit was them buying the special in a local diner (to split) afterwards and it came on a plastic plate. The "glasses" for their water were also plastic. The shopping trip includes 68 * 2 litre bottles of fizzy shite, 30 tins of pineapple, and 90 cartons of Pringles. They spent 10 hours in the shops doing this. 677 dollars of utter crap that actually cost them 150 dollars but nothing that I would buy. This mob are telling us what to do. We're doomed.
Silverton End
Jeff Lynne's ELO - Wembley or Bust, concert from 2017, shown on BBC4 Saturday night there. Some catalogue of tunes, even did a Travelling Wilbury's number. Brilliant show.

Cracking big guy & an inspiration. Well worth watching Not sure my increasingly sensitive soul could take that one... I could barely make it through the five minute interview he did a while back.

Plenty of humour throughout too.

It's brilliant, i got it on dvd a few years ago and watch it every Hogmanay, beautiful imagery and great music, you're spot on about the emotional aspect.
