Its like blue peter for grown ups minus sarah greene ( my youth dont judge me ) You can tell somebody's age by who their favourite Blue Peter presenter or Doctor from Doctor Who was. I'm a Valerie Singleton and Patrick Troughton man. (Now there's a piece of slash fiction I'd read...)

It's supposed to be giving people a summary of the important news stories as they're getting ready for work. Instead we've just had an interview with the star of the Hyacinth Bouquet prequel followed by a feature on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, followed in turn by a feature on another upcoming series called The Great Orchestra Challenge. The whole thing has become a long advert for the BBC itself. This. Breakfast Time has morphed into the ITV version, whatever it's called. Tuned in at the gym the other day, hoping to watch the news, only to be subjected to 10 minutes of, essentially, adverts for the shite the BBC show at night. This, coupled with the 'banter' between the MOTD2 presenter and the bird that looks like He-man.

ICTJohnboy
That irritating, obnoxious, arrogant, failed politician Ed Balls is on the Strictly Come Dancing show preview. Some of these political c***s will do just about anything for a wee bit of fame. If this pathetic, shambles of a man doesn't get voted off after Round 1, I will never watch anything on the BBC again.

As for that load of Balls......
Boghead ranter
An hour and 20 mins of Saturday night to define the nation's favourite Carpenters song. ITV have given up any pretence of even trying.

Here's a wee factoid, if Karen Carpenter and Mama Cass had swapped their last meals both would be alive today.

BFTD
Caught the last couple of minutes of the Keeping Up Appearances prequel last night. Had no idea this show was happening, or what I was watching, but I'd worked it out within ten seconds. No idea if it was any good or not, but I guess the actors certainly knew what they were doing.
The_Kincardine
Watched Our Girl on iPlayer last night. The script was a bit cliched and predictable but the filming was excellent. Michelle Keegan, though, is magnificent.
