Popular Post Aubrey Maturin
It's time for the round one scores on the doors. Very close in the team event thusfar, one bit of transfer news @pleslie99has been transferred from Africa to Asia after an investigation from the United Nations. Anyway in first place after round one are team Africa with whopping 44 points. @Arch Stanton @scottsdad @101 @JamesP_81 @peasy23 @Blootoon87 Scottsdad got the only ten of the round along with nines from Arch Stanton, Peasy and James P. Superb, Africa salutes you. In second place with a healthy 41 points are Team Europe @Insert Amusing Pseudonym @TheGreenElves @Salvo Montalbano @Ross. @The_Kincardine @kingjoey IAP got a nine as did Ross. Europe is pleased. Now in 3rd place we have team Australasia on 39 points @Eednud @Duszek @The Captain @gkneil @BigBo10 @BaSeDG0DSA1NT @Jacksgranda Edmund and Duszek fire in nines to keep their continent in the mix. In fourth place in alphabetical order is Team North America with 38 points @Rugster @Bully Wee Villa @mathematics @JustOneCornetto @Ronaldo Jeremy @senorsoupe Solid team display with BWV, maths, cornetto and jeremy getting eights to keep them in the hunt. In fifth place also on 38 points is South America. @Geaky @The Hologram @German Jag @Cardinal Richelieu @Spring Onion @TxRover @specsaver Springy gets a nine and is assisted by the Cardinal with an eight And finally bringing up the rear (insert kenneth williams meme) is team Asia @Leeds Saint @Helpma @Snobot @The DA @ArmadaleKillie @SlipperyP @pleslie99 Snobot and Slippery gets an 8 but Asia expects more, much more. Well all to play for going into the second round, here is the knockout tournament results. Firstly the Peckham Spring Cup Hearts stalwart IAP gets a 9 to knockout his team mate TheGreenElves as the St Mirren quiz fanatic gets a 7. Oh no another St mirren fan Arch Stanton gets a 9 but Uni lecturer Scott Dad goes through with a ten Suave Italian detective Salvo Montalbano aka a Pars fan gets an 8 but Swiss Dwelling Bankies fan Ross gets a 9 to advance. Another Sainty, this time Leeds saint gets a 7 to go back Rex Lynn CSI miami lookalike Helpma who only got a 6. Quiz veteran Snobot scores 8 to despatch Tannadice fanastic the DA who ends up beached with a 7. Falkirk Fan Rugster who is on holiday got a sick, no match for everyones favourite moderator BWV who advances with an 8 Geaky by name but not by nature gets a 5 as lithgy Rose top fan the Hologram gets a 7. Hannover residing German Jag gets a 7 but falls to our returning beloved Cardinal Richard who scores 8 - all hail the Cardinal. My old friend The Captain got a 5 to be outscored by GKNeill with an impressive 8 Next up these two dweebs have drawn, yup Aussie Edmund and another Swiss resident Duszek got 9 - you both advance. Excellent we look forward to round 2. Now onto the Fawlty Towers Shield Ancient egg chasing fan The Kincardine got an 8 to see of David Bowie fanatic KingJoey who got a 6, apparently the board want Changes 101 who I was taking to at football on Saturday got 5 but train driver James P steamed through with a 9. Petershill fan Peasy 23 smashes a 9 to advance against old stager Blootoon who got a fine 7 Armadale Killie another veteran got a 6 but our greatest ever host Slippery P advances with an 8 Another Killie fans Mathematics who has a cellar that Fred West would be in awe of got 8 as did the brilliantly named Cornetto - both go through A big one from Ronaldo Jeremy (8) sees off Senorsoupe who notched a 4 - Canada weeps tonight. Spring Onion unlike his QOS team was on fire with a 9 - Tx Rover who I enjoy his informative posts in the Ukraine topic crashes out with a 3. Talbot fan Bigbo10 got a 7 to see of newby Basedogsaint who scored 6. Unlucky. The father of the quiz, Jacksgranda got 6 - Our newest player Specsaver goes through with 7 - I will be round later for a coffee and to find out about you Pleslie also goes through Excellent that's stage one over. Next round will be tomorrow and remember even if you're out the individual event you're in the team event for 4 rounds

BUT 1. I am a fan of modern egg-chasing not just the ancient sort. Folk would think you were waving the Zimmer Card otherwise. We know you'd never do that. 2. You missed out the F' in front of my opponent's name.
