Getting the poet wrong would have been disappointing. 

Dulce etc decorum est, pro patria mori.

I remember that poem coming up in higher English class back in 1997 as that was the first time I had heard of it.

If my memory is correct the translation from Latin is, How sweet and fitting it is to die for ones country maybe i am not dead accurate with that but it is something similar if not.

It came up in Higher English when I did it in 1981!

His poem written in the form of a sonnet is a masterpiece.

I think 1997 is still too recent to be described as 'back in'.  @Jacksgranda, @Eednuda meringue?

Anyway, 9 for Wed with my knowledge of Disco music confounding me.

Correct. I did Higher English back in 1969...
