There’s a big cohort of owners that are almost evangelical about a raw food diet. We tried to continue with it when we got our latest but, with only one in the house, it just wasn’t practical. If you’re a breeder feeding kennels’ worth of dogs I can see how it absolutely makes sense.

We’ve been on Royal Canin for years, healthy glossy coat, no stinky breath and solid toiletting

It’s your dog and his sole source of nutrition so I don’t think the cheap shite like Bakers quite cuts it but each to their own. Everything has its price for a reason. Buy the best you can afford I’d say.

I feed my dog raw chicken including bones from the supermarket and lamb and beef bones when I can get him. She gets her food outside which is great as there’s not a dog food bowl inside, just a bowl of water. She’s had this diet from about a year old.

at 9 and a half, her health is amazing.

A certain arsehound decided to sample all the loose treats in the pet shop on Saturday resulting in an increase of £20 on our usual spend.

Don't think he's very sorry for his actions.

On a brighter note he used to flatten himself on the floor at the doorway and refuse to move whenever we walked into said pet shop so at least he's a bit less of a shitebag these days.

My mum retired earlier this year and decided to treat herself. Of course she's the only person to retire but still work (part time nightshift a couple times a week) so I certainly have my work cut out with my 2 then staying at my Mums 2/3 nights a week to watch hers (all collies!). Anyway, meet Seamus who is now approaching 6 months old.
