SHOW US YOUR DOGS!

Just back from the vets, Archie had his scan and last chemo appointment and the scan has shown no signs of growth and I'm over the fucking moon!

I was utterly dreading the visit but I'm so relieved its unreal.

Hes by no means cured and the reality is that there's a 95% chance it'll re appear but he's got a good quality of life for a while now and I'm delighted.

They've offered a new kind of chemo, he has to take daily and its a very small dose. The idea is that there's a constant supply in his system to try and keep the growth down, we're thinking about trying it but will have to check the costs with insurance etc. Im actually just happy hes through the chemo and its all been worth it up to now for him.

This has been terribly hard for me to post.

Last week we had to put Roxy to sleep. It was very sudden, she developed a limp and after an x-ray it showed cancer had eaten away at her front leg and had spread throughout her body. It was so difficult as she still had all her faculties.

We are all devastated.

Such a wonderfully loyal family pet who loved every one of us. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.

She was just fuckin ace eh.

Roxy 2011 - 2021.

Sorry to hear that man. I know how hard my situation has been but I can only imagine how rough a time you and family are going through. Especially with it being so sudden.

Sorry for your loss mate.

Got my old lurcher put to sleep last night. He hadn't been well for about a year. Devastated doesn't even begin to describe it. I didn't greet this much when my granny passed ffs.

Must. Not. Go. To. The. Shelter.

For a few months anyway.

Managed to last a full year, got a 2 year old greyhound dog coming on Saturday. Another rescue, the fella was raced as recently as 3 weeks ago but evidently he's not much use.

He was here thru the week to meet us and make sure he gets on OK with my 4 year old daughter. He's called Curtis, his racing name was Dance Curtis but I think it's getting binned. We're thinking Vinnie.

She's 19 and coming to the end of her life. I'm just feeding her whatever the f**k she likes. She's in reasonable health aswell.  Auld bugger still chased a cat the other day. Mongrels just keep going.

She was a stray in Majorca as a pup. She belonged to my good ladies uncle, he died and she got shipped over at aged 2 and lived with my Mrs ever since. Don't even notice she's here most of the time. Just potters about doing her own thing.

That's her away now. Family are gutted but it was for the best. Her breathing was laboured and back legs were pretty much away in the last couple of weeks. 19 is a great age for a raggy auld mongrel. She was up in Isle of Skye with the inlaws when she went. Gave her peace and quiet up north from my active 3 year old.

Edit; All your lovely dug pictures are cheering me up so keep them coming.

Sounds like you gave her a great life off the streets, hope you're doing okay.

Leo’s first trip to Golspie. Day one was a roaring success as himself, Rosie and Belle proceeded to beat the living shit out of each other for hours on end [emoji23]managed to get a peaceful 30 seconds this morning:

Poor old girl, she looks like such a contented soul in the photo. It's heartbreaking when they get to the stage where you know you've exhausted all the options.

Sleep tight lovely lass.
